I just got my December Cycle World Magazine. There is an article about some customization to the Fury (Project Fury - pg. 56). They added cobra pipes, Fi2000 controller, prototype air cleaner, pin stripes and a luggage rack. Looks nice.:)

I saw the air cleaner. Unfortunately, CycleWorld neglected to say who was making the "prototype" air cleaner. I thought the article was poorly written. It covered some of the modifications made, but other than the photos, there was no mention of most of the mods. Who made the license plate bracket? Was the luggage rack designed for the Fury? If not, were any modifications needed to make it fit? What was the price on the accessories? They said that they cut some of the trim and painted a bracket behind the new exhaust, but there were no close pictures to see exactly what changes were made. I liked the new look, but was disappointed with the article, especially since it was a cover story.

Yes. I saw that the pipes were Cobras. My question was that the article stated that they painted some part of the pipes or the mount before they put on the pipes. I thought that there should have been better pictures of exactly what they did. They wouldn't have had to be large pictures. Maybe just some 1" squares showing before and after.

They are probably a little jealous of the Fury or something, would explain the bad article... Nice front fender, pretty much what I'm going to do it once I work up the nerve to start carving into it... lol... Took a hacksaw to my beaver tooth tho on the back, that was actually kind of fun :D

I felt the article was way too short and lacked tons of pics/info. Then I realized that I own a Fury, so I only want to see 30 page articles with 8x10 full-color, glossy photgraphs of nothing but my bike!

I found a cycle world forum filled with people bashing the Fury. It was interesting to see how much time, energy, anger and typing some people will waste on a bike they claim to despise. I don't care what someone else rides, I hope they are having a blast and love their bikes. Why do these hens care which 2 wheels motor-vate me?!

they think wrenching on the side of the road and getting towed home are part of the great riding experience. that's the only excuse i can come up with. i tend to pull over on the side of the road from time to time to take a break and i love it when the harley guys stop with that smirk on their faces asking if i need help. i just say nope, it's a honda. i've been riding so long without a problem that i just needed a rest.... the looks on their faces are priceless every single time

Was riding up to Julian yesterday with my friend who is on a Harley (Big Harley fan, also just bought his first Harley)... On the way up the mountain saw a couple people on the side of the road, looking like they were trying to figure out what was wrong with their Harley.

It's so weird too, my friend that own's a Harley, jokes about having to fix it like it's supposed to happen and it's no big deal... Don't know about you guys, but I don't want to always be fixing my bike, just want to ride the damn thing (Almost 6k on my bike already)... I just shake my head whenever he says stuff like that as I don't care who makes the damn bike, you shouldn't always have to be fixing it...

I'm surprised that there are so many people with negative things to say about the fury. It is in a market completely by itself. There are no other production choppers out there in the same price range. I wanted something that was as reliable as the sport bikes I have always ridden and the Fury was one of the few bikes that did that and looked good.
