DEAL's GAP, Taiming the Dragon

Took my first road trip on the Fury this weekend. 788 miles in three days is a lot of riding for me. Left Savannah GA on Friday and rode to Helen GA for an overnight, and then Saturday to Deal's Gap, NC, to ride the Tail of the Dragon. I was impressed with how this bike handled the 311 curves in the 11mile stretch of mountain road. Arrived back home today. Got to say the bike draws attention wherever it goes. Lots of crotch rocket guys had to take a look, and they too, liked it.

I have the OEM flamed seat and after this ride, there will not be any long diatance rides in my future. Highway pegs of some sort would be nice, anybody fabbing any?

You can get that seat reworked and get some memory foam or gel pad inserted so that it's more comfortable, sorry that I can't post a link I'm at home and the link is saved on my work computer but I'm sure someone will read this thread and post some links to places that are good to deal with to get that seat reworked if your interested. There are some pegs called swingwing from Kuryakyn Kryakyn - Metric - SwingWing Pegs plus you have to get the splinned adapters, only person that I know of off hand that has them is RSS, they look good and comfortable and lets you stretch those legs out for long ride and when folded up are like mini floorboards, I believe they are like 156 plus splin adapter plus shipping, it's another option unless your interested in forward controls which are big money.

pull the cover off your seat and add a 3/4 inch sheet off airplane foam to it .you want believe the diff.
is it hard to get the cover off the seat without messing it up and you can put it back on yourself? I have yet to get any mods done or get to mess with anything since i got the bike late last fall and wont be home until early august to get to mess with anything.
Should be staples holding the cover in place. When you do the work have a heay duty stapler to staple it back in. This is what Im guessing since most if not all seats are put together. Let us know how it worked.
