I used WD40 and dental floss, then some Goof Off for the leftover residue

goof off and a little patience.........

blow dryer to warm up and loosen the glue, fingernails to scrape with so as not to damage paint, goo gone to get rid of remaining sticky mess. use with a healthy dose of patience
