I've ridin' crotch rockets most my life and familiar with the 'tree'... Guess well see if the fury can keep up with me... There is a trick i do though... by adjusting the clutch lever out to engage rite as you pull it in and not having to pull it in all or even half the way in will allow quicker shifts.

Guess we'll see. Would like to see what people think it will run time wise in the 1/8th as well as MPH. The low down on my bike is below...

Anyone run their fury down the drag strip and get times??? Runing mine next Thursday night... vs. a Harley.
I've been riding crotch rockets for most of my life too, ZX9's, 10's, GSXR1000, and I'm, advising not to race the harley lol depending on what type of harley it is. the fury will definatly get it off the jump especially if you adjusted your clutch but we are gov'd at 100mph. first gears gonna be short of course, but i dont know. i think the harley will catch up.

Its an 1/8 mile track and the Harley is a 96 cubic inch 2009 Street Glide so he's got about an extra 150-175 pounds over me, but a large engine. It's going to be a good run I think. He's a nice guy and really just wants to run for fun. Still trying to find some one with a video camera to film it.

Buddy of mine took his 2002 VTX 1800 and ran a quarter in just over 11sec. at 115mph... I'm doubtful I'll break 100pmh in the 1/8 much less even get into 4th gear all the way.

Suprised from some of the comments at the little faith in the Fury on here... or is it the driver... hmmmmmmm... the suspense! lol!

Have you practiced upshifiting without the clutch?

I do sometimes when I'm cruisin', but I don't when I'm getting on the throttle... its too easy to screw up the clutch... Its why I am just adjusting the clutch lever. If I really wanted to speed shift I would install a push button air shift system, but its a fury and I'm running it for fun... not for bracket racing.
