I bought my Fury last month great bike....

I've done a few mods grips, mirrors, blinkers, PC V and drilled stock canisters...

My questions is if any one has been dragging aftermarket pipes on the ground.. I was looking at some pics and notice the stock pipes come real close and I drag the pegs alot ( I also race Expert CCS). The stock pipes are stepped up in the back I guess for ground clearance...

So if I get a straight pipe like the Fuggin viper or Cobra Speedsters will I be draging them on the ground.... I don't plan on lowering the bike cause ground clearance is low now and this is my all around driver....

I havent drug while riding, once backing in towards a curb that the road was pitched towards but that was it, and my pipes are pretty low

I have the Morton Inferno's and I drag them every once in awhile... I also have my forward controls out 2.5" and up 1" so I have taken my peg feelers off so the only indication that I am lean over to far is when the pipes on the right are dragging but I am planning on doing a minor mod to them shortly so that will not happen as often... especially if I lower the bike some.

Thanks for the replies, I figured the pipes had to be real close to dragging. I think I'm still getting the straight pipes too many people allready have the swept pipes...
i dont like the swept's because everyone has them, kinda cliche, mine i had to mod the bracket to though

Guess I get to join the scrappers club. In a hairpin turn today I caught the peg and before I could correct up caught the pipes. Foot long scrap on my Cobra swepts.

Just scrapin' by ...

Never scraped the stock footpegs or pipes, or the cobra swepts when I had them on; but wasn't 20 miles after installing the lowering spring and fuggin' Viper 2's that I gave her a little more lean in sweet curve and heard the arwful sound ... :-(

Oh well. Just have to practice my lean angles and grind 'er parallel with the frame rails and tell everyone it's a custom tip :D

Ouch... that's like when I first installed my pipes. Got done i with it that night and the very next day, went into work and scraped my pipes on the stupid speed bump there when I was trying to hurry to work... My sympathies....

But, haven't scrapped the pipes as far as I know yet on turns (Samson's), but I did change out my pegs long after I got used to the turning radius of the stock pegs, so that may have something to do with it too as far as my bike is concerned...

I haven't scraped the pegs or the pipes...I roll with the Cobra swepts. Guess you guys are just riding a lot harder then me.
Wimp! You're either a light-weight (don't weigh much), or you live somewhere on this planet that has only straight roads; which is it? LOL. Ride safe.......

Cheers
