Easy-Exhaust Gasket Removal!

22296 Views 9 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Clueless

I don' know if you know the easy way to remove the gaskets or not, so I will post. Take a short, thin flat screwdriver and place across old gasket and tap twice gently, then go 180 degrees and do other side, this will pucker the gasket so you can get your pick underneath easily. Time to remove gaskets, about 1 minute each. :D

Good information Mental! Probably need to hit RSS up about putting this in the FAQ section.
Great idea. Only wish I would've thought about that when I was changing exhausts.
Bump for newbie!
I not a newbie to Fury exhaust. I had my factory exhaust on and off three or four times changing, moding, cutting and welding the same pipes never once had a leak issue. So just to clarify, the gasket everyone speaks of is the metal right at the head of the pipes?? its not actually a metal/fiber gasket like a car??
