WTF - I saw Dragonfury's post about a Fury jacket on Ebay. While searching for it, I found a Matte Fury listed by CycleWorld of Cherry Hill, NJ (item #280489700966). In the item description the title is, "NEW FOR 2010 HONDA FURY LIMITED PRODUCTION HURRY VT13CX." The seller further states, "EXTREMELY LIMITED PRODUCTION," AND, "HARD TO FIND MATTE SILVER COLOR." (Emphasis added) Does this dealer know something that the rest of us do not, or is it just plain BS? We have been over this several times on this forum about the Matte being a Special Edition and not a limited edition, but I have never seen anyone try to pass off the entire Fury line as "Extremely Limited Production."

It's that whole ... SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY affect that dealers sometimes try to pull off. Just over hyping it to get some attention on it.

Yeah, my first thought was that it was just hype. Then I thought, that if a dealer is purposely advertising using information that he knows to be false is called "False Advertising."

There have been a couple of threads about the definitely Not Limited status of the matte silver furys. I just couldn't believe it when I saw someone advertising that there was an EXTREMELY LIMITED PRODUCTION of all Furys. It's funny because if it were true, why is he selling it at a "BUY NOW" price that is $2,000 below MSRP. If it were so limited, I would think that he could get a premium over MSRP.

my dealer said that some of these places are probably buying Honda inventory on the cheap from dealerships that have closed... that way they can sell at a lower price and still profit...
Still they should try and maintain sticker integrity for 1 whole year!

These bikes have been out for only a year!

Give maint pack or warranty extension before cutting list!

Someone a Honda America should give them a call, somewhere in the Dealership agreements they might not be able to publicly dump at certain discount levels Honda CORP. has a direct interest in maintaining LIST PRICES!

And Honda could throw them a bone on these bikes before they do this publicly.

I bought my Fury from this same dealership in New Jersey back in April of '09. They had six on the floor when other dealerships were just getting one or two. This particular dealership pumps out bikes and has probably sold the most Fury's in one year - it's a marketing thing, sounds good and reads better! They were writing the same crap a year ago. The salesman said over 50% of their business is off the internet.

I wasn't concerned about the discounted price. I wanted a Matte Fury. I put down my deposit and waited, and I paid MSRP. If you can get a better deal, congrats. What I was concerned with is how Honda can let a Honda Dealer can get away with deliberate misrepresentations to its customers.
