I shop on line frequently but have never used ebay. I know a lot of you do with good results. Any advice, cautions or horror stories regarding ebay?
Yeah, watch for feedback on that person see if it seems ontrack for what your expecting. Also carefully read the description and view pics. Dont be afraid to ask questions and dont be afraid to leave bad feedback or dispute it with paypal since it works with ebay. Paypal is like an easier way to dispute scams from ebay since they hold payment as a 3rd party.

I have been Kinda burned twice, one was on a Run Brake turn for my bike which they refunded the cash since it was used and broken. the other was a guitar amp that i got that they shipped with no tubes (50 bucks later) found out the amp was wired wrong, fixed that and it worked for about 3 weeks then died (was used and they said no guarentees since it has been used hard)

Almost got burned once then it worked to my benefit. Bought a cell phone that i waited a month for, disputed charges got the refund and a day later phone came in the mail overnighted from the guy trying to make ammends, since i had the phone, he was an ass, and got my cash back I ended up making out on it. The guy got kicked from ebay about a month later

I use ebay very often and have had only 1 questionable experience. After winning bid and paying seller had difficult time actually coming up with item. Some sellers play middle man and do nothing more than sell to you then purchase your item elswhere for you. Took 3 weeks to get refund, but all other transactions, 52 so far, have been ok. Just look for # of transactions and ratings and be wary of new sellers or any ratings below 99%, also use Paypal only.

I agree with what everyone else has been saying to their own experiences. READ everything carefully. Use PayPal. Over the past 5 or so years I have made a hand full of transactions, all positive. As of now I have nothing negative to say.

Bought my Black Cobra Swepts on Ebay! :D

Good luck. :)

Ive been burned once by a seller who sent me a set of wheels that were not the same as i purchased. After several contacts and talking with Ebay i was in a loose loose situation. Thankfully i found a local buyer who paid me exactly what i paid for them. The seller was gone in a month or 2.

The best thing i have found, go off word of mouth. As in this forum, there are a couple guys who have made purchases successfully, then pass that sellers info along to you if your interested in what they are selling.

+1 and really use the feedback score of the person your buying from as a reliability thing.
