I really don't love the look of the engine block being that dull silver. I saw the stateline in te dealer and they painted it black. I have the blue fury and am thinking aboutthe same thing. Any thoughts on what to use or if u have done it how it looks?

It's why i got the silver fury... it just blends right in...

Hey Richard, go blue, but polish the fins. black will make 'none fury owners' think it came black from the factory sence alot of bikes do... but blue... well then at least you'll get appreciation from the masses for your time doing it.

Just my 2 cents...

now that's a good looking bike and that's what I would like to get mine to look like except with morton inferno's, I have a long ways to go. as a matter of fact I just had RSS photochop some black wheels onto a black fury to see what it would look like and i 100% think that those black wheels look better than the silver ones, sorry to get off track but I got a woody seeing that black fury lol.

Bighitter,

That is one of the SICKEST furys I've seen yet. Awesome job man! The less chrome the better IMO.

Did you paint the motor yourself?
Thanks bud, I appreciate it.
I painted it with dupli color Semi Satin black engine paint. Lot's of prep, about 4 hours(well worth it) and another 1 hour to paint. Didn't sand it down too much just roughed it up with some industrial scotch brite pads from home depot and cleaned off the remaining with mineral spirits.

What all exactly did you paint? Did you do the carburetor and manifold? Or just the engine?
