just put on the inferno exhaust but i have no idea how your supposed to put on the mounting bracket, and whats the deal with the factory mount?! Are you just supposed to cut that thing cause is sure doesnt look like something you can take off...

There are two bolts under the bike u gotta take off and it will fall right out, as for the mounting bracket it goes back in one of the holes if memory serves me correct.

I just installed my infernos a few hrs ago. N.MFURY is right bout the stock bracket. Remove the two bolts and mount the new bracket on in the lower whole. I noticed some clearance issue with my side cover and wonder if its gonna be a prob. Plastic cover and hot pipes could be a mess. Has anyone had any issues with this. Pipes sound amazing though.

did you guys install a fuel controller? i have heard from a couple other guys and one said he did and one said he didnt so i was curious if you two did or didnt. i'm going to order the inferno's with power cones about 1 june so they'll be at home waiting for me to install them bad boys by the time i get home.

Yea Im running a power commander V. Dynojet doesnt have any tuning maps for the infernos. I used the cobra swept map for now until i can get a custom map made.

did you try to run the bike without the fuel controller? i think i'm going to run mine without it and see how it does and if it needs one probably go with fuggin or cobra as they are cheaper.

No I didnt try it without. Mortons suggests using some kind of fuel controller to keep from tarnishing the pipes. Besides I've always ran some kind of controller on all my bikes for performance.

Did you get the black powder coated or the chrome? Did you get instructions with the pipes and if so were they sufficient enough? I know they shouldn't be hard to put on but I was wondering about the power cones. I was thinking about getting the black powder coated ones as I'm thinking about blacking out the bike as much as possible since I have the black Fury.

I got the chrome. They come with directions. Very easy install only took me bout 40 mins. Gettin ready to take it for the first spin with new pipes. Just gotta avoid scraping on hard right turns lol.

Thanks for the information. Well I hate to break it to you but I have heard from others that these pipes scrape also, so don't cry while riding when you scrape lol, I know I'll probably tear up myself the first time it happens but I'll blame it on the wind getting behind my glasses lol. later and have fun.

I ran mine without a FCU and the pipes will turn colors on you where they come out the engine and u will get popping, as for the power cones i have them and i cant say if they will help or not but they are recomended so i got them, when u get these pipes ask Dough for the exhaust gaskets they would use for these pipes becouse it seems everyone gets leakes with oem gaskets.I have the Dobeck FCU on the way and it should be here early next week so i will let u know how it rides after install.

So did you get the discoloration off your pipes? I heard mothers chrome polish is good for that along with the many other types of polish they make to get it out. I'll probably just order a FC <cobra> and install it when I install the pipes it was just my understanding that you didn't need a FC for just pipes, maybe because these are not baffled? but I guess better safe than sorry. Yeah I talked to Doug through email a few times and asked him if he sent gaskets with his pipes and I guess he was busy because he started talking about something else so I had the wife go and buy a pair of gaskets from the dealership, so if I get a set from him then I'll take my set back to the dealer. I'm sure the bike would run pretty crappy without the power cones as they are needed for backpressure so I planned on getting those anyways, do they just slide into the pipes? Yeah definitely let us know how everything runs and sounds after you get it all worked out, just makes me anxious thinking about the stuff I have to install when I get to get home lol.

I ordered the covers with my pipes so u cant see the discoloring, and the bike runs great now without the FCU really no difference from stock and they sound great but u can tell the bike runs hot, the power cones just slide into the pipes but like i said i had to adjust the lower pipe a few times to get the leak to stop, and these pipes sound great loud as hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm I didn't see covers for sale on there, might have overlooked them, can I ask how much they were? My main reason for getting them was because they were a shorter pipe and from what I seen on youtube and heard from others is that they were pretty loud. I looked at your album and seen that you must have had your pipes special ordered as you had the bottom pipe shortened, nice. I also noticed that cover you had with the skull on it, nice also, did you get a whole set or just that one? Later bro I guess it's my bedtime it's 2:30am here in Iraq.

i think they were like 75 bucks if memory serves me right. and they are not covers they are just the skull u can get them from autozone and they just cover the honda logo.

Wish I would of seen this before I order my Kury Engine Cover inserts. I like the skulls, maybe I will go get them and see if I can return the Kurys.

you can probably return them but I'm sure they'll charge you a restocking fee, I would think it's cheaper to get those covers at autozone instead of the ones you got. Hydredgunn was supposed to send out some covers that he produced for free, I think he had like 24 sets at the time but I haven't heard back from him if I got a set so if I got those I'm good, if not then I'll just buy some type of cover when I get home.

i installed the infernos without the fc and it ran fine, it did seem to run hot and didnt sound very great when id engine brake. i left the stock gaskets in and just bolted em' um, no leaks... but then i realized i forgot to put in the "power cones" so i had to take them back off and now i have a small leak.... im gonna take them off here in about 20 min, flip and rotate the gaskets, then bolt em back up and see how she works lol. Also i put in the cobra fc yesterday and really didnt notice any change, i didnt mess with the settings but i dont think its running lean so im not real sure what good adding more fuel will do me, prolly just take it to the shop sometime and have them mess with it..

Oh and if you havent bought em yet, these pipes are LOUD, like, really LOUD
