Here is how the fork tubes look once the lowers were chromed. The only thing I dislike about the honda stainless brake lines is if you notice it ends before it actually goes down to the front caliper instead of being stainless all the way down.

In the interest of everything looking clean we also shipped EVERYTHING off that wasn't chrome including the bushings and anything visible at the front wheel mounts, calipers, all control perches on the handlebars, etc.

my forward controls in the pic (pegs) are stock. The new ones aren't on it yet. The handlebar forward controls (didn't know if they have a special name) are factory and just chromed.

I'll have better pics of everything when it is done. The new forward controls and passenger pegs (matching) were the only thing not in yet a couple weeks ago when I took these.

Kury makes control covers for the vtx 1300 that will fit the Fury just fine. I added chrome covers on both sides, a chrome clutch perch and the master cover. They make a big improvement to the handle bars.

I have to say the total cost for the covers add up quick. Might be cheaper to send to a chromer, I did the covers so I could do it in a few minutes, no down time

Finally will be joining the Chromed Lowers Club

Chromed lowers arrived today from StumpWerx and they're gorgeous.
I will hopefully have them swapped out next week.
Once that's all done and my seat from Easy E gets here, I'm done for quite awhile. It's time to ride and enter her in contests.

For those of you planning on chromed lowers, consider this:
There is oil in these 'cause they're like shocks. Therefore, there are O-rings and seals involved. Though the dealer thinks I'll be able to re-use what's on my bike, I ordered a new set of rings, washers and seals to be certain that once they have my bike, they can do the work in a day. I want no hang-ups, at all.

So, If you decide to get new rings, washers and seals, here's what you need:
http://www.hdlparts.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=1329620&category=Motorcycles&make=Honda&year=2010&fveh=37362

Item 27 (washer) ..... P/N 90544-283-000 ... QTY 2
Item 21 (seal set) ... P/N 51490-MFR-671 ... QTY 2
Item 29 (O-ring) ..... P/N 91356-MW0-003 ... QTY 2

I could've saved a little money had I ordered them on-line, but I didn't think to order these in advance and now I'm impatient.

I would hope I can either return them or re-sell them IF the shop determines it's fine to re-use my old stuff. But, chances are that if they don't permit a return, I may just go with the new seals/rings since I paid for them. I don't want to have to go back and address a leak after the fact.

OOOPS, almost forgot ... "photos or it didn't happen"

p.s.s.: Hello Jack! :p

If your going to get chrome wheels, then u need to bite the bullit and do the lower forks, calipers and the final drive (and dust ring) in chrome. It probably set me back a little over $3k. Sucks but, I was turning in front of someone yesterday and his jaw dropped about 4". Now that my friends was priceless! As far as winning FOTM, I was the only one who voted for me???

I think I'm gonna paint my calipers Gator orange w self-leveling caliper paint like I had used on my S2000.

The final drive will wait.
