I agree. All in all, it's a pretty favorable review, but all things considered there is really not much bad you can say about the Fury. That's why I love mine!
Sorry Jesse... I know it's a Honda, but it is a Honda which means that it's going to be reliable... I think Jesse should jump on the band wagon an make some parts for it...
I'm sure Jesse James and those like him who make their living making more radical bikes feel threatened.
Now you have a huge company like Honda making bikes which these types of people feel will probably at some point adversely effect their business except for the most hardcore and the wealthy.
Mass produced choppers which are affordable to the masses and yet have the Honda reliability factor thrown in.
OCC and all the others probably will not like this at all. Thus the criticism of the bike. Of course its not a $45,000 radical bike. Its a Honda!
Jesse James, I thought he was cool since he gave Honda the drawings for the Fury and got paid from HONDA! He is pissed because they actually built it!
There is no cooler looking chopper at the price point PERIOD!!! This is a segment leader out of the BOX! And all the custom guys are fearing a new player in the small market of choppers!!
How many choppers are sold each year??? How old is the demo of buyer? Finance not a problem!! Honda will crush small shops, Honda has all the market info and probably will make a bigger more expensive chopper now that they have tested the water and further piss off the American chopper dude!!!
They could chunk out a giant hole in the custom bike makers market because of there massive dealer network/GLOBAL DEALER NETWORK!
I used to like J James BUT REALLY NEVER WATCHED HIS SHOW!!!
I think it's funny that the custom shops are pissed. Realistically, the fury isn't competing with anything in their price range. I can honestly say that if I didn't buy my fury, I would have saved up for a Big Dog. It just would have benn a few years.
I would have never been able to save up for a Big Dog or any other 'name brand' chopper... The Fury is in a totally different market...
The 'smart money' is on the companys that can put aside their differences and start to make custom parts for the Fury... Think about it, a direct replacement Jesse James fuel tank for the Fury, Arlen Ness handlebars, a radical OCC sissybar.... You get the idea...
Now can they swallow their pride and do it???
Only time will tell...
