Yes, this is a typical scam of these new forum formats. Don't reply and tell him to take a piss in the wind

Alright, I been working over the wiring and installing the stock signals with LED fork strips. Got the rats nest of wiring sorted and as tidy as I can for now. Yes, I know the signals are crooked, I adjusted and tightened them down after the pics.

Shout out to Furi15 he sold me stock mirrors and stock signals.

I guess its ok for me to keep documenting my work over on my Fury?
I should ask if this a thing people can do on forums. I suppose I need to ask if peoples like what I am doing.

Today, removed tiny aftermarket LED turn signals. Installed stock turn signals, cleaned up wiring, changed stripped allen bolts holding rear assembly to frame. Put fender and seats back on. On the screw that holds the passenger seat, I installed a wire holder, I'll use it for a tie down point.

Also, drained and refilled the rear drive fluid. OMG it was black and burnt smelling. Advice guys, should I be worried about the gears? I did not test ride after all this work today.

Is this reality? Guys REALLY? $500 for a nostalgic 60s style sissy bar for my Fury?

Gin is not the cheapest guy out there but he does great work and stands behind his product. I have one of his bars for 12 plus years and it's still like new. TIP. If you want a better price call Ginz choppers and ask to speak to Gin. He will give you a better deal as he is the owner, if you speak to the staff they will just give you the book price. I went with the old school hard core (20"). If I was to do it again I would go with the 25" bar as the height gets used up quickly with the luggage rack, back rest and a bag on the luggage rack.

I really like the stock turn signals as they are easier for people to see compared to the tiny LEDs. If you add some Kurry deep dish bezels the stock turn signals come up really nice. I went with the amber lens version as that is the stock colour and turn signals have to be amber by law in Oz.

I like having the signals blink normal speed with the incandescent bulbs (maybe I'll get LED bulbs). I do have a fast blink module on order. I have LED signals on the front forks wired in with the stock signals. I do plan to incorporate an additional LED brake light to help for safety.

On sissy bars. I have a classic Harley bent rod style sissy bar on order, $75 on ebay. I will have to engineer a way to attach it to a Honda.

I have a purist philosophy.
Honestly, I think its too easy now to buy stuff that can be home made. I'm a hypicrite on somethings that I buy on "Amazon" however, I feel like I am tuning into the biker saints of old when I diy on my motorcycle. I suppose it sounds silly. It's just like anything else we take up as a hobby, we can be buyers or builders. Sorry im getting deep into the weeds, lol.

Update.
Got a bunch of parts and fluids in today and finished up a lot of my Furyous reconditioning.
Maintenance: Rear oil changed, engine oil changed, oil filter changed, air cleaner changed

Had a bit of an scare today, I hallucinated I had a chocolate milk shake in the engine after I changed the oil and started/stopped, then checked level. Called forum/motorcycle guru (Furi15) for help, "I think you're being paranoid." he told me, lol yeah I was being silly. Nothing wrong.

Repairs: clutch/mirror bracket replaced, installed stock mirror.
Plugs: OK (replace next oil change)
Grinded/ sanded road rash out the pipes.
Waiting for: new helmet and new sissy bar. Gonna try to engineer the sissy bar on the bike this coming weekend.
Anyways here is some Fury sunset porn.

I wouldn't call myself a guru. Glad to help. There are plenty of other people here who would have done the same. Glad you got it to your liking. You will find though, owning a Fury, you are never finished.

Aftermarket indicators should be DOT compliant so they're visible from all angles under all conditions (like sunlight). I'm kind of preachy on this, however want motorcyclists to not get clipped by vehicles that can't see the glow from poorly implemented aftermarket LEDs.

When I first landed here members suggested draining the final drive oil every oil change, and it's great advice. Your finial drive is probably fine. Keeping the oil clean reduces seal wear and helps prevent future leaks. If you want the Harley guys to think it's a Harley just bring a small bottle of used engine oil with you and squirt a bit under the engine when you park it. :ROFLMAO:
