Is it just me or does it feel like when your parked on a small grade with the front of the bike facing down the kickstand could fold up and the bike could fall. My kickstand just doent feel like it is stiff enough when its out. Let me know what yall think

i park on rock & gravel a good bit.... feels just as unstable. I have yet to park on an incline yet but I am sure it sucks.... but then again I would never park my bike facing downhill :p

One good method is to keep it in gear, release the clutch and roll the bike forward until it stops and then lean the bike over. Voila!

There is nothing that locks the FURY kickstand in any position. I do not think you should park facing down hill unless you think scratches add character to a new bike.

I just never park it facing downhill. Predator is right tho. If you have it in gear and roll it forward to a stop then put the kickstand down it won't go anywhere.

yep i did it! i pulled to the side of the road, put the bike in nuetral, put the kickstand down, walked away and heard a little noise from behind me only to watch my bike fall over on the left side. i will leave it in gear from now on. the only real damage was the left side peg got messed up. i was suprised that it didnt do alot more damage. dave:mad:http://www.furyforums.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif

I'm surprised that bikes have fallen over. I'm always crazy careful when I park my bike. I keep it in gear, roll it downhill, and push against the kickstand to make sure it is fully extended. I had a bike fall over once in a parking lot, so I've been careful about it ever since.

Since it happened to you at least once... you shouldn't be so surprised...crap happens as they say! We all screw up sometimes!
I'm surprised because the kickstand seems very stable and has a decent footprint. When it happened to me 4 years ago it was a sport bike and the kickstand spring folded it back up due to the bike being pointed slightly downhill on loose gravel.
