I was looking for a place to plant my garage remote with easy access. I decided to mount under the the speedo. Simply used adhesive velcro. So far no one has found it, and you have to look hard to see it unless looking for it. The remote is the smallest one I could find at Home Depot, and also has an L.E.D. light on it.
On my Shadow, the seat is bigger and has a great spot to mount under the seat in a cove that has easy access. Can easily hit both of them while in motion so I can just pull right in.
Try finding a remote in your pocket with gloves on cuz you won't have it hanging from your key .
No web site but I bought a pair of these switches 10 years ago from the address below
so a phone call might be all you need if they are still in business: Mikado Technology

I still have the one that was on my old Shadow but I dont use it on the Fury cause the reciever wont fit in the headlight housing and there is nowhere to mount it on the bike where it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb.
great solution. i'm trying that later today. i keep my sunglasses and remote in a little cell-phone case looped to my deflector strut.
your idea is better.
