Got my fury last saturday!!! I have been reading this forum for almost a year and finally pulled the trigger and bought a fury. I have a question about removing the license plate bracket. I have read all the topics about this including rednecks and my question is: the bars beneath the fender that have to be cut, is this a fender support or strickly for the license plate bracket. I noticed on most of the bikes that removed the bracket have also removed the passenger seat, so does cutting the bar weaken the fender so a passenger cannot ride?

Hand saw, cut it... ... Just a support bracket for the rear lights (not passenger support), just cut it even to the lip of the bottom of the light assembly and you should be fine.

Thanks redspawn, thought I would ask before I cut, dealer said the bar is $110, but plastic is around $15. I love the ride, new pipes, controller and other stuff on order.

Congrats on the purchase of your new Fury. You may be able to handle all the mods (obsession) if you were patient enough to be here for a year and not buy until now. Shoot, I wandered into the dealer on a whim one Saturday afternoon and was able to hold off on it till Sunday.

lol , im with Richard,, I went in looking to buy a new helmet, lol bought a blue fury,,hahahha many mods and 6 weeks into her im building her a home,,hehhehehehe
