Hello fellow Fury Owners, or soon to be owners.

I just put my $1K deposit down for a LE Matte Silver Fury on Friday. I've been searching for another bike as I'm getting away from the crotch rocket scene.

I recently wrecked my Ducati 1098S. My wife wanted me to get a cruiser, however, I felt I wasn't "old" enough for a cruiser, until I almost killed myself, lol.

I had an R1 last year that I never laid down, which I might purchase back from the guy I sold it to, to have a track bike.

WOW! I'll stop rambling... ...

Anyways, my bike should be here in a week or two. Can't wait to get on the beast!

BTW, any moderators reading this, I registered under my user name "PREDATOR" 2 days ago and I never received an email to my yahoo account. Which is why I have a dot on the end of my current user name. Is it possible to delete that registration and modify my current user name?

GRACIAS!:D

Hey Predator.

Working on getting me a Fury in a few months. Sat on a black one at a dealership and loved the thing. Best looking bike Honda has ever built. Been riding my Shadow 1100 for 19 years and it's time for a new one. Went back to the dealer the next day and it was sold. Any word on if there will be a 2011 model?

I'm not predator, but the dealer I talked to said that the ones that they are selling now are limited editions, and when september arrives the regular 2010 bikes will be out in force. I'm waiting til then because the price is supposed to drop considerably for the winter sales.

I am pretty sure ABS is still going to be an option in the fall. It will cost 1,000.00 more as you said. As far as I know, you will be able to choose a bike without it.

The ones the dealer's are selling now are in limited quantities but are not limited editions. The only limited edition is the matte silver which sells for 500.00 (13499.00 vs 12999.00) more than the other colors.

When winter arrives, riding season will be over for many people. Most bikes will be available for a better deal during the winter. Personally, I would rather have mine now to ride in the summer.

Yep, dealer told me last week that the price is going up a grand when the July bikes hit the dealerships. Al Lambs Honda of Dallas says that all the Furys that come in by June will still have the 12,999.00 price. After that they go up.

Jeff,

So your dealer is saying ABS will not be optional? Not that ABS is a bad thing but that sort of sucks...

Why the heck do you need ABS on a bike?

I was told that if I'd been riding for 35+ years, I didn't need the brake assist package.
No crap. I couldn't imagine braking hard and then having my abs kick in on a bike. That would screw with me big time

While I'm leary of ABS on a bike I kinda trust Honda. It's probably been tested for years and been proven effective on wet or dirty roads. The ABS on my truck stops me just fine even under hard freeway braking conditions. Still, I'd rather not pony up the extra grand to find out. I've been riding for a good long while also and haven't seen the need for it yet.
