I hate the thought of ruining an awesome looking bike, but does anyone know anything about installing a hitch for a trailer on the fury, of if its even possible? I would like to go on some longer trips but can't because of lack of storage. Anybody know of any products or ideas? Thanks Everone!

I have thought of this idea as well. so that i can create a trailer for the dog to go with me when i go to the lake house.

my thoughts was to get a longer rear axel, and bend a piece of metel around the rear tire and mount the hitch to that.

Better off going with a side car.
Should give you plenty of storage and room for the dog. I think you can get them inclosed. It will be safer too!
Probably easier to get it installed also.

You might want to try adapting a Goldwing trailer hitch possibly//

That looks like it would be easy to adapt actually... hmmmm
I have installed dozens of hitches on GLs, there is NO WAY that will adapt. The pic shows a tiny bit of the hitch, doesn't show any of the attaching hardware, which is all hidden on the GL under the fender and bags, go to the Hitchdoc site and look at some for a VTX R, or a Valk and you MAY find something that would adapt, but I doubt it.

why in the world whould you want to tow any thing with a fury, if thats what your looking to do you bought the wrong bike, any bike that tows has dual front disc brakes, and has a heavier frame, like a touring bike, and your cruisers, the fury is a chopper, the frame is not made for it. if your looking to go and tow a bike trialer, trade in the fury and get touring bike.

I'm building a bolt on hitch for mine right now. Got the arms bolted under the fender to the frame. Gotta get my hitch piece (1.25" receiver) welded in between them and the wiring converter on for the trailer plug. Trailer is harbor freight. On sale right now for $350 and only weights 150lb empty. My thing is trying to figure out the wiring for the trailer light plug. Gonna wire it in at the front of the rear fender but I'm not sure if my converter will work or not. I've read on hitch doc that I may need a certain converter for this? Can anyone help?
