So here is the issue... the EPA has decided that if a vehicle was ever designed to be used on road it is not allowed to be used as a race vehicle.
Established governments look to ban fun, this has pretty much banned almost all forms of racing.

I'm curious about the EPA involvement. Since some of us who got the Guhl reflash experience have noted an increase in mpg, one would think the engine burns fuel more efficiently. Or, the improved mpg due solely to the lower idle.
In my opinion, the EPA and crash test regulations prohibit the import of more affordably priced newer vehicles, based on the U.S. having nonsensible requirements.

I filled out the form, it was easy / straightforward / no hidden stuff.

Years.........I had so many years to get this done......... Who would've ever guessed that this could happen?
I thought I might get around to doing this one day. Probably next time I went to the USA. But is seems the EPA and the Australian government had other ideas.

Still can't leave Oz and if I did I can't come back. With Sydney in the middle of a lock down I can only leave home to buy food and medical supplies. Can't go and visit my Dad, who is not well and you are not allowed any visitors in your home. All this from right wing federal and state governments.......... How much worse would it be if the lefties were in charge?

I used to think the right wing would fix all the crap that the left comes up with, but they don't. They just maintain status quo until the left goes back in. Politicians, I've done seen enough of them. Guess I can declare taxation without representation, or at least not the way I care to be represented.

Dear Mr. Hedgehog,

Thank you for taking the time to contact me on this issue. As your representative in Washington, I want to hear what matters most to you, your family, and your community. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts with me.

As you may know, the Clean Air Act of 1963 (CAA) designates responsibility for the protection and improvement of the United States’ air quality and stratospheric ozone layer to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Under the CAA, the EPA is given authority to regulate vehicle emissions and fuel economy standards. Vehicles that do not meet EPA emissions and fuel economy standards can be deemed illegal for street or highway operation. EPA interpretations of the application of CAA standards on motor vehicles have long been ambiguous due to changes in Administration.

Due to his concerns over ambiguous CAA standards, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10) introduced the Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports (RPM) Act to the 116th Congress. The RPM Act would authorize the modification of a vehicle's air emission controls for vehicles that are not legal for operation on a street or highway and are used solely for competition. The RPM Act was submitted to the House Energy & Commerce Committee but did not receive a vote last Congress. I do not serve on this committee, but I will continue to follow this bill’s progress and will consider your support of the RPM Act should it come to the Floor for a full vote.

Thank you again for contacting me. It is an honor to serve you in Congress. For more information on my work in Congress, to connect on social media, and to sign up to receive my E-newsletter, please visit https://fitzgerald.house.gov/. If I may be of service to you in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Scott Fitzgerald
Member of Congress

I to just completed the form it is very easy.
I even went as far as personally emailing my congressional representative about the RPM act & the Remapping or tuning of ECU's. If I get a reply I'll post it. I feel good about getting involved.😊

So, after 2 1/2 months of waiting for one company to ship my exhaust, I had my money returned and purchased from someone else and had it very quickly. The tune is smooth and spot on. The bike sounds soooo good with the exhaust. It runs and rides how Honda probably intended it to be if it weren't for all the regulations. Hands down I do not regret the retune! I just wish he was still doing the retunes.

One post, ya! Yeah, it's too bad. As long as it is illegal, we are out of luck.

so with Guhl being out,, whats the alternative to getting the idle on my fury turned down?
As far as I know there is no option for that. Guhl's reflash was the only thing that adjusted idle, all the piggyback controllers are unable.

Has anyone looked into the Vance & Hines fuelpak programmer? Looks like it’s just for HD bikes, but it reflashes the ecm. If that’s legal then why can’t we reflash? Why don’t V&H make one for the Fury??
