Anyone added this to their bikes? If so, is it a simple process for the relatively non mechanicallly inclined person like myself? Does this require any modification to the system or a simple bolt on?

Sure seems to add to the looks of the bike!

I have

I built my own adapter tho. pending which adapter you buy, its an easy install. Some of the adapters don't hook up VAC and PCV properly

I must say, I love this look, how difficult of an install is it?
as mechanical installs go, it's 6 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most difficult.

you'll remove the oem cleaner
unclamp two hoses on either side of the oem cleaner and leave them on the bike.

then, with the directions for the adapter and Kury, you'll assemble the parts and re-clamp the two hoses.

REMEMBER: OEM bolts are METRIC
so, use the proper hardware removal tools.

Kuryakin usually supplies SAE hardware.
if they suggest using their bolts, remember to use SAE tools.

the fun part is the lower bracket bolt that has to be removed from the oem cleaner. don't get discouraged. use an electric screwdriver and slowly remove the bolt.
If you use the same bolt to re-install a bracket to the aircleaner, replace it using a METRIC allen head. If Kury supplies that part, carefully check the outside hardware requirement--it will either be SAE or METRIC.

One thing I have noticed with all the hyper chargers I have seen on bikes is that the butterflies close when you rev the engine, ass backwards!!! The butterflies are supposed to open to allow more airflow when you twist the wrist.

Now with that being said, who is going to prove me wrong??

I haven't seen one on a fury but have seen them on VTX's and they opened with the throttle.
I have seen four (or five so far including mine). couple harleys a shadow and a big bear chopper. they all have closed throttling up. I got inside and changed the spring sequencer inside the vacuum actuator to open butterflies on throttle.
The one I have came from a guy who bought it for a one off bobber and it was to heavy for the carb and he took it right back off and threw it in a drawer
Saltydog, whichway does your hypercharger swing??
