Your new grips are 1" so you will not need the throttle tube after you cut after your stock grips but don't throw it out you might someday want to switch back to a rubber style grip if you don't like the feel or the cold of the bullet in the cold months. The left side should have a couple of set screws so no need for glue.You may find it easier to disconnect the cable down below for an easier install on the right throttle side so mark the throttle cable at the intake adjustment rod and reinstall in to the same position. Save your chrome grip ends for a ignition key mod. Good Luck!

Dave, so is the throttle tube easy to remove?, and forgive my ignorance but the throttle cable would be attached to the throttle tube? Are the bars chrome underneath the tube or would I have to paint them in order to match my grips, as they are perforated and you can see through them.

The grips come with 3 set screws to hold them in place and roller bearings on the throttle side to turn on.

I am not worried about the cold...I wear gloves

Ya the throttle tube will slide right out once your cables are unhooked. The bars under the grips are chrome and you could paint them if you wanted to but I think you are going to find the look of chrome is a better fit for you grips. Although the grips you have chosen are black the insert holes are polished finish and will give a better accent to the grip looking through the holes with into the chrome. I've got a friend who's got a set these on his fury but they are the chrome finish grips and they look great. I kinda like the ones you picked out better because the black breaks it up better. I had a set of solid chrome grips on previously and hasn't happy with the look, just to much chrome. Make sure to post up some photos when you get done as these are a nice choice of grips and I would love to see he finished product.

Thanks for the info Dave. I will decide weather to paint or just keep them crome once I get the grips and just slide one on to have a look at the contrast. Seeing as how I have the matte silver I know that these grips will look sweet.

The grips and some new foot pegs are the last things I am waiting for to get delivered. I simply have to take my seat in to get some extra padding and some stitch work done and that's it. I painted my rear shaft drive hub last weekend (black) and then all my mods are done for now.

Pics will be posted for sure....if I get everything in time, it will be up fury of the month in July for sure

Looking forward to seeing it the fury of the month. I think I'm going to have paint that rear hub cover also. I've been holding off hoping someone would be making and offering a chrome replacemnt cover for it by now as I'm sure half the guys would eplace them out if this item were available in the aftermarket world. There is a real market out there for parts for this bike but these company's for some reason are slow out of the gate.
