I have worked out my deal for 11785 +ttl no extra charges and I go to pick it up Friday no one in Texas will budge on the price but contacted several out of state dealers who were more theN happy to fight for my bussiness I will have to drive 400 miles but if it saves me 2000 the I make the trip I am so happy And nervous it's like jam 16 again getting my first car I haven't ridden a cruiser style bike in a long time and have ridden a r6 spirtbike for awhile I assume it is going to be an ajustment period. For anyone coming from riding a sport bike how is the ride comparitivly?

I just got off of an R1 and I can tell you......it will feel like your on a lazy boy compared to a sport bike. It felt a little weird putting my feet in front of me and not looking down on the front wheel but I think I could ride all day! I only got to do a test ride but that is basically my impression(10 miles city/freeway). I was also used to a GP shift pattern from riding the track and going back to the way normal bikes are made me think before I shifted. The bike rides like a cadillac, you'll be comfortable shortly after getting on! I'm waiting like you, unfortunately I think I have another week before I get mine.

I went from a Kawi ZX6R to the Fury. It did take me a couple of days to stop trying to put my feet under me and dropping a knee in a turn, but it rides soooooo nicely!! My back used to hurt after a long ride on the sport bike, but I can ride the fury all day and never get tired.

Still have my GSXR 1000 but these days the Fury gets all the miles. Im just like the other guys on here, took a couple of days to get used to laying back and being comfy instead of back aches and forearms being a bit sore:D I will always enjoy riding my crotch rocket but the Fury is pure pleasure!!!! Im taking the Fury to ROT rally early friday morning. Gonna leave about a half hour before the sun comes up:cool:
