Has anyone adjusted their idle? I have installed vance/hine exhaust, but think it would sound better with a lower idle. How do you adjust the idle? Pipes sound great while cruising though.Just thought idle could be more lobey.

just wondering if anyone has anymore info on slowing the idle down. if its even possible?
Anything is possible if you have the means. You will require Honda's software and harness interface to the ECM to connect with your computer. After considerable training you will be able to re map the controller chip to a different idle speed. This can be accomplished after sharing a considerable amount of beer with Honda's field service engineer and voiding your warranty. Harleys can have a lovely low loping idle with their roller bearing big ends and resulting lower oil pressure. Dropping the idle and oil pressure on a plain bearing Fury may not be a good long term investment. Just sayin' is all.

I played with it some, tried adjusting the "plunger" on the IAC, but it re-calibrates everytime you turn it off (that's the buzzing you hear) by running it all the way to the top till it stops, which is when you hear it buzz, then moving to a calibrated point back down. Sucks but I will say that it still sounds like shit even down low because the timing is still way too high, it doesn't lope at all it just slows down.

Not that I don't see what you're getting at, but there are a ton of carbed vtx1300's out there with the idle adjusted down low and I've yet to see an issue with them.
