Ordered my sissy bar today but would like to know how hard it is to install and will I have to do any drilling.

its not hard but you do have to do some drilling through the fender. the holes are pre-marked under the fender. my girlfriend and i did it in a couple hours after running to the hardware store for the right drill bit size.

+1 Very easy, just remove the fender, turn over and drill at the marks, I have done 2 so far, the directions are very good for once.

i used a step bit to drill the holes it worked great and left a smoth hole with no shavings. i couldn't find a metric bit anywhere.

As stated already, it's really easy. I was about to drill my fenders, but I didn't want any holes for when I run my solo pad, so I returned my sissy bar.

Agree to the point of it being easy. When I installed mine I used fender washers to lift the sissy bar up a little because I didn't want the chrome bars resting on the fender.

yah, I couldn't believe how easy it was to put my sissy bar on. It was alot earier then the wind screen.

+1 When the Honda service rep stopped by I handed him the directions for the windsceen and told him how wrong they were.

Will the dealership have these are the nylon washers are did you pick them up at a hardware store.

yeah picked them up at fastenal. they were about 1.50 for fifty of them

I didn't get mine from the dealer... and I also ordered it much earlier in the year, but for me, it took about 1.5 weeks.

does the sissy bar mount just to the fender? If so, how well will it work. I do not want my rear fender ripped apart if my wife leans back too hard, or have her fall off!

You drill through the fender (pre-marked holes so no screw-ups there) and then through-bolt it to the frame.

Mine took 1 day, order early in the day so it goes in on that days order, should be there the next afternoon , depending on where you live tho.

Got it installed and thanks to all for your input. Im in the process of fabbing a tall one and it will mount down like the factory one.
