Is Super Glue O.K??

1466 Views 12 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  X_KIOWA_X
So I get my ISO grips, (awesome by the way) cut off the old grips, cleaned the old glue off, lightly sanded the throttle side, slid on the new grips to position them, marked the spot, pulled the grips off, grab the glue that comes with the grips and it was rock solid in both tubes! I decided to use "lock tight super glue" in place of the bad glue. Now I am sitting here worried about it. Do you guys think it's O.K?
Thanks.

no wiggle or shimmy? Sounds ok. But then, I don't know if loctite super glue is OK for rubber backed products.
That is the same thing Kury sends so it is as good as original.

The wrapping on the tube says that it is perfect for "metal, rubber, plastic, and with stands extreme vibration and heat. It is a gel type super glue.
It sounded good for the grips?
Get ready to ride mrbyber! You’re gonna be fine…
Let us know how you like them over stock.
I can already tell that they will be awesome!!:D
It took me about ten minutes to get the position I thought felt best.
I placed them so my Calais's are between the each line of rubber pads. If that makes sense. Then my palm is on 4 of the rubber pads and the middle inside of my fingers on the other 4. I just sat there for a few minutes holding them.
Like Richard said they are much wider. LOOKS GREAT TOO!:D
that glue will prob be there when the cows come home.
I just ordered a set from amazon for 53 bucks should be here within a week.Thought about the flame grips but opted for the others. They looked like they would be more comfortable,
I love mine and have no complaints whatsoever.
I didn't see any pictures on what type of grips you are talking about, but the picture of the ones that's attached to this post is on amazon for $30 plus shipping and they come with the spiked ends, I'll probably get these pretty soon, I already ordered the grim reaper mirrors and will be delivered tomorrow, also this is a picture that Smiley uploaded to show me so I'm assuming it's his bike.
