I just installed my C&C custom seat. It's like riding on a piece of heaven compared to the stock saddle. I normally didn't have a problem with the stock seat at all riding at lower speeds. 50-65 mph was fine and I could ride all day. Did over 200 miles in one ride without a problem just cruising back roads.

On the highway (70-80 mph) however, the stock seat made me feel uncomfortable after only 15 miles. Not unbearable, mind you, but uncomfortable. Slapped the C&C on there and went for about 50 miles today without a single moment of discomfort.

I went with the solo seat since I don't like passengers who rarely get on bikes and all the chicks I know that love to ride would rather pilot then sit on the back. The ride hight and look appear stock except the back is a bit higher and the the saddle is a bit wider. Looks great, but the comfort value alone is worth the upgrade.

Oh and on a side note; if you drill out and file down the holes used for attaching the seat bracket to the bike, the screws fit better and makes mounting easier. Just about 1/16" on each side really makes a difference. Even on the stock seat.

End rave.

I sent mine off to Mean City and now that I have it back, I notice a difference, but it's not enough. I guess that was $150.00 wasted that I could've put forward to a C&C seat.:(

Yes, pictures please!

I will post some pics in the next couple of weeks. My camera is a waste of time and really doesn't do the bike justice. My sister is a photographer and will be doing a full photo op with the bike later on. Oh and I must recommend the leather seat. It's butter soft on my rear end. HA!

GAfury,
I did not add the gel. Chuck at C&C said he really couldn't tell the difference in the two and didn't fully recommend the upgrade. They are both medium firm and ride about the same according to him.

Stonewheel,
I know how you feel. This is supposed to be a free membership forum but I keep feeling that there IS a fee, in the form of upgrades.

I was thinking the exact same thing. More things to buy. I've been eyeing that seat since they started making them in the solo. I emailed C&C about 6 months ago when he was only making and selling the two up seats on ebay and suggested he should make a solo seat for the Fury because it would be a big hit. I have been holding off since they started making the solo still deciding if I like it because I wasn't sure I liked the way the back of the seat comes up a little high instead of flowing into the rear fender. It looks like it would be more comfortable on your back and that is probably more important. Ok I'll put it on the short list of things to buy.

James, That seat is really the balls. That is a true work of art. Why do you have to show us this now I'll be thinking about a new seat all night. I've got to get of the forum cause your killing me with these upgrades.

Gary,
$195 for vinyl and $225 for leather. Gel and stitch pattern can add as well. I spent under $300 for mine shipped.

Jimmy,
To catch a pic I had to go to ebay. They have a solo for sale there.

Try this:
Fury, Honda Fury, Honda, Solo, Motorcycle Seats, C&C : eBay Motors (item 110495784058 end time Mar-18-10 20:25:50 PDT)

Just call the number to order or head to CC Seats - Home Page to see their stitch patterns, fabric options, and other stuff. They also have a full pricing list but the Fury isn't there either. I don't think they are tech guys so the website is a little behind. I was emailing and calling them for almost week before I pulled the trigger.

I am looking at the touring seat also the wife has hated the stock rear seat since day one! Did you have the gel added to your seat? wondering if it is worth the extra 150.
GAfury:
I have the C&C Fastback seat with the gel installed for both the rider and passenger. The bomb...
One thing not really noticeable in the pictures is the lower back support. The C & C seat comes up a little higher than the stock seat on the lower back.
Absoulte comfort..
Anyway, wouldn't trade my C & C seat for anything..:D
