I just installed my C&C custom seat. It's like riding on a piece of heaven compared to the stock saddle. I normally didn't have a problem with the stock seat at all riding at lower speeds. 50-65 mph was fine and I could ride all day. Did over 200 miles in one ride without a problem just cruising back roads.
On the highway (70-80 mph) however, the stock seat made me feel uncomfortable after only 15 miles. Not unbearable, mind you, but uncomfortable. Slapped the C&C on there and went for about 50 miles today without a single moment of discomfort.
I went with the solo seat since I don't like passengers who rarely get on bikes and all the chicks I know that love to ride would rather pilot then sit on the back. The ride hight and look appear stock except the back is a bit higher and the the saddle is a bit wider. Looks great, but the comfort value alone is worth the upgrade.
Oh and on a side note; if you drill out and file down the holes used for attaching the seat bracket to the bike, the screws fit better and makes mounting easier. Just about 1/16" on each side really makes a difference. Even on the stock seat.
End rave.
