K&N Air Filter install

I have a K&N air filter on the way. I got the mod plate, also. My question is--does it just bolt on, or are there other things I need to do, also. Thanks!

Mine is in the form of the spike so not sure bud.

Which air cleaner is the K&N for...? The K&N filter itself goes on many different types of air cleaners and it is impossible for us to know WTH you are talking about. Please think about the question fully before jotting them out and we will gladly help you out further.
