just got back from the chrome shop ,they can chrome the kickstand for 25 dollers.that easy .7 days.i'm taking it tomorrow.whooo hooo.also found a metric bolt that fits perfect on the back fender where the pasenger pad was , already chrome the bolt i found at work it's a button head 6 x 12 metric bolt .have two more extra if anybody is interested for free.they can chrome wheels for 675 dollars,and they take them apart and ballance them after chrome . for that i'm waiting for it to get colder till i can't ride.

I'm curious; did they indicate if they're first sanding it down with a conformal belt sander, to get rid of the as-cast, bead-blasted look?

I'd be very much interested in seeing the finished piece.

i didn't ask i was so excited that it was so inexpesive,but i will ask them tomorrow.back in the 80 my parts always come out smooth and shiney.i will also take pictures of it in 7 days.

here it is guys,just picked up my kickstand.8 days is all it took and 27 dollars.it looks great can't wait to put it on ,i'll take a picture of it when i install it.the name of the place is southwest chrome . the number is 210-566-8878 they also go by the name L N L CYCLES.THEY ARE IN CONVERSE TX. RIGHT OUTSIDE OF SAN ANTONIO.THEY HAVE SOME BEUTIFULL CUSTOM BIKES THERE IN THE SHOP.

looks nice mr mom.i am going to call them today about my rims as i have another bike to ride while its down.i am going to paint it next month anyway.thanks for the #.keep the rubber on the ground.

That kickstand looks great. I think I will have to consider chroming mine now. I had previously removed mine and sanded it down polished iI up and clear coated it because I couldn't stand looking down at that nasty factory casting job. Good work! Does look great!!
