I was wondering of anyone else had a problem with the left mirror set screw not holding the mirror in place? The right side seems fine and does not move at all. The left mirror keeps sliding back and forth. I have used red lock tight and it still moves. I even made a flat spot on the metric adapters for the set screw to grab. Can anyone help with this problem?? Any other ways to fix it??? Do I need to contact the company for a new mirror???

Thanks,
Charles.

Charles, this same problem has been covered many times and I believe Richard has the answer to your problem as he went through the same problems with his and I think he ended up putting a set screw into it to correct the problem. Hope fully he will chime in or give him a pm. Good Luck!

Well after breaking off the adapter and having to drill it out and re-tap it, I thought I had it fixed. After I tighten it, I can go 300-400 miles before it will eventually come loose. I now ride with 11 & 13 mm wrench’s in my pocket. My next step is to try the blue lock tite and if that doesn’t work I’m just gonna tack weld’em on there.

It's the wind, plain and simple. All it would really take is for someone to figure out that the left mirror needs to have left hand threads so when the wind beats on it, it will tighten up just like the right mirror does with the right hand threads. I had the same problem and found the only fix is to get it as tight as I can. C'mon someone! Let's have left hand threads for the left mirror!

I got the Kury magnums (frankly Kury allen screws and threaded items suk--too soft of a metal alloy-never buying their stuff again. My levers are starting to corrode and i garage my bike) and my Left mirror goes through that same B.S. Try large gobs of red loctite. Better than the little droplets they recommend. It seems to be holding the larger mount adapter. But the smaller threaded bolt is now giving me problems. I tightened it big time the other day, and tightened the set screw enough to not come loose. I have no faith in this. Left hand threads...YES!
