So i got the l&m intake adpt. today and noticed it has a slit in the side , whats it for?

You will use screwdriver to tighten clamp onto engine intake. This slot allows access to clamp. Should be in instructions. L&M may have posted how to on you tube.

No, that wouldn't been very manly! We all know that REAL men throw the instructions in the trash, then figure it out on our own. Failing that, we go dig the instructions out of the trash, or call up our buddies and ask them. LOL.

Yeah but some instructions are useless... I will say the L&M one for the adapter was much needed but this one for the fender... Not so much. If you can't put another part on the same way you took the old one off you should just stay out of the garage and let your wife/GF do the job while you bake her some cookies.

Darn, just ordered mine today and they say expect a 4 week backlog for the chromed version.

I got the chrome and had to wait 4 weeks as well. I wonder if they stock the chrome, or have them made per order.

They told me they had the black in stock last Thursday when I ordered mine. I got it today so your shouldnt take long at all.

Nah, they stock the black, but have to send them out to be chromed, if you want. My chrome one took nearly 3 months, which really pissed me off, 'cause they told me they had them in stock when I first ordered it.
