Weather the bike is in warranty or not, I would be on the phone to warranty telling them you bought the bike because of Honda's Quality, and ask them, DID I MAKE A MISTAKE, because this is not acceptable and you know of others having same problem. Say it in a nice way and see what happens.
Call them anyway, it is not written in stone! Tell them about your
battery also and that many members had their battery go in one
year or just after, and state is this the quality I can expect in the
future if they try to snuff you off. Tell them you are not happy.
