Low and Mean, I have a question for you. I love the stuff you are doing but I still have not seen the pipes I want. What I want is the Cobra Swept in BLACK. I love the way they follow the line of the fender. My question is: Do you have any plans for something similar in design but available in BLACK? I'm about to order the Cobra's but don't want to if you are planning something similar.
Keep up the great work you are doing.
Thanks.

You can wrap them in black.

If Low and Mean does not have plans you can always wrap the Cobras in black heat wrap. I saw someone else on the Forum that did that on their shorter pipes and it looks great! I would assume it would look just as good on the longer Cobra pipes.

I was thinking the same thing but figured the Cobra pipes had heat shields the whole way down and don't know how well heat tape goes around the heat shields. I considered ordering them and taking the heat shields off, but was worried the pipe diameter would be too small and the crossover would cause problems. I haven't seen any in person though so it could be that none of those things are actually issues.

Those have a nice custom look. I like the longer style myself, but I am sure plenty of people will love these.
I agree. I really, really want the longer style like the Cobra's with the heat shields...in black. I know I'm beating this to death, but I think the SE calls for the black pipes. I've never changed pipes on any bike I've had over the last 25 years (6). I fell in love with the Cobra's for the Fury.
PS....Thanks for the links.

Hello, We are also fans of the Cobra exhaust style, but they have already done this, we hate to copy another and cut into their sales. I would suggest buying whatever pipe style and having them blacked out (If they don't come that way). Here's a link to a company that does coating over chrome, they can do designs, different colors, and even Black Chrome, which would look sweet on the SE!!! Home
Good luck, let us know what you end up doing.

I looked at having lifetimecoatings coat a set of pipes for me. It is expensive!!!!! They first quoted me $900 and then eventually backed down to $600. Not to mention it was going to be on the L&M Mayhem's, which are short. They would most likely quote you around $800 for the Cobras. I would look into getting them in raw form from Cobra and having them powder coated. Then you get the look you want.
