I had the same prob with that box. It was a pita. The heat is not bad when you ride but you do know that it is there.I just put my Mayhem pipes on saturday. They look great and sound amazing. I had one small issue w/ installing them. The support bracket that comes w/ them, which mounts near the exit end of the pipes, was having an issue clearing the rear brake lines junction box where the hard line attaches to the flexible line. I ended up unbolting the mount at the junction and slightly bending the hard line to get the bracket to attach. I may call Fuggin Fab to see if that was correct since there were no instructions w/ the pipes. As far as the heat, I didn't notice it while riding but I did touch my leg against them while backing up. I also added the fuel controller, Spear intake, and L&M's intake adapter.

i'd like to hear what they sound like if anyone can get a video and sound clip up. look great tho! Here are a couple pics. Let me know if your looking for something in particular and I'll take some more.
Pipes and intake look GREAT! Waiting to finish saving up enough money (since I keep buying stuff for the fury) to get the Twisted Spike filter, and Mayhem pipes. Can't WaitHere are a couple pics. Let me know if your looking for something in particular and I'll take some more.
Ok Taz, where's the YouTube video with the sound...?Woooo,
All of you guys must be tall. If I am not really careful I can easily scald my leg. Backing up can be an issue as well. Little tiny steps...

PS. I am very happy with the pipes. I had the Cobra's and think these sound much better.
I don't have Cobra's any more. Got the Mayham's instead.Ok Taz, where's the YouTube video with the sound...?
. What controller did you put on your bike?
you must of read it before I edited it..I don't have Cobra's any more. Got the Mayham's instead.

Tony, sold them to another forum member. The original controller I received was dead in the water. Sent it back and took the bike to local dyno last week. They installed Commander. Absolutely no backfire. Amazing difference.you must of read it before I edited it..
Did you send the Cobra's back?
There's another thread about changing pipes and adding the fuel controller.Ok, Not To Sound Like A Complete Idiot... What Is The Controller For? Is It For Performance Or Is It To Correct Back Pressure Since The Factory Pipes Were Removed And Some Better Looking And Better Sounding Ones Were Installed... If This Is Some Thing That Has To Be Done When Changing Pipes, Is It Sold With The Pipes Or Do The Pipe Manufactures Tell You Which Programmer You Should Get...
I had Mayhem's on for about two weeks. No problems at all. I have about an inch at most between side cover and pipes.Question for you guys, do the mayhem pipes sit really close to the side cover,,.,. close enough it might melt it? And what is the clearance on the bottom pipe like for you guys? I think mine sits extremely close to what I believe is the flywheel cover. Not sure if this is gonna melt my shit over time. I'll try to get a picture linked up of how close mine is soon, but just wondering if they are consistent or some of them are spaced better than mine.
