It would be difficult to mount that 17" tire on a 18" rim. Or do you mean w/ diff wheel ?

you cannot put that tire on an 18 inch rim.metz makes a 210 18 for the fury.my rims are being chromed now and thats the way i will go when i get them back.

Has anybody put a caliper on a 210 Metz and a 210 Dunlop to actually compare the width's?? I'd be interested in knowing the real numbers.

460...I can't find that 18 inch metz. You sure it's a 210? The catalog only lists a 200 50 17. I want to get that 210!

what he said.210/40vr18 will go right on with no mods.its a little wider and about the same in hight.

IMO it is not worth it unless your 200 rear tire is sold or ready to be replaced anyway. If your replacing the rear anyway, why not go slightly larger. Just not worth dropping the money (again IMO) if you still have a good 200 rear tire. I will go to the larger tire when it is time if I have not already upgraded to the 250 by then.

go to your serch engine and put in (metzeler me880 motorcycle tire).it will list all there sizes.

Riding behind CB Fury and Trip this last weekend, he has a Metzeler on the rear and it looks wider than the (Trip) Dunlop going down the road.
I believe his Metzeler is a 200..
There was a difference from afar.

Yeah you are right on the width Tony... I am running the 200 for now. I am looking at doing the 210 here in another 1,000 miles or so... which will total over 10K miles on the Metzler... big difference in the ride as well. I use to feel road groves on the Dunlop and when I got the nail in it at 600 miles I went to the Metz and have been loving it ever since... just my opinion.

Shane, I used to run Metzeler Comp K on my FJ which were good for only 3000 miles but very sticky. Loved 'em esp after removing the stock slippy tires.
Regarding your change up to a 210, it's a lower aspect ratio, 40 vs. 50, and may be noticably smaller in diameter and possibly not a good sacrifice for the extra 2/5" width. Please check and compare the two tires in the same condition (mounted or not and same wear).

So what your saying is the tire profile will be 22 mm lower.
Which would cause more gap between the fender and the tire by 22 mm and the bike lower to the ground by that much as well..
is that correct?

side by side two bikes and the only diff. i saw was the metz was wider and you had a hard time seeing diff in hight.you can tell a big diff in cornering.no skipping in turns.
