The 4th of July marks the middle of summer around here and the days are starting to get shorter. I have not gotten near enough riding time in, and will make up for it in the second half.

Anybody have any 4th of July rides planned?

My gang is supposed to do a day ride. Leave from SE, Kansas and go down through Oklahoma, over to Arkansas, up to Missouri and back into KS. Hopefully give that C&C seat a good test.
Heading to Alabama to see my dad and brother.

Sounds like fun....hope they have a bunch of gas stations along the way.....how many miles before light do you get now with your air intake set up?

Not exactly sure, because I've been twisting the throttle in excess, running the piss outta' the bike. I'm kind of obsessive, and I've been trying to make sure that it runs EXACTLY like it did before, or better. It may be all in my head, but sometimes it seems like it runs even better, and then other times I'm thinking that maybe it's a little doggy on acceleration. I'll never be satisfied. :( I'll probably be adjusting the damn fuel controller about 157 million times.

Anyway, I used to go 115 before the light and the other day it came on at 100, but again, I've been racing the shit out of it trying to ease my obsessive mind. :D

Hmmmm, mine comes on at 87. But I still have the controller set rich....pipes blued on me, so what the heck, maybe I should just go back to the original settings per the fury dyno run...and get an s&s air intake....then maybe try and find a cover for it that I can have my daughter etch and paint her horse logo on.
I am stuck working on the 4th or i would jump on that train when you guys hit OK.:(

Wooden, maybe this guy could do some work for you on the filter. All his stuff looks like zuki 109s but he might be able to do your horse.

87? What is your controller set at?
Doesn’t take long to go off topic does it?
Riding to Milwaukee on Friday (with two harley guys:() for "Summer Fest." Over 300 bands in a week and a half.
It's cool! It's on the water so you can also sit on your boat (if you go on a boat) and listen to music. All kinds of food, BEER, and also other entertainment. There is about 20 or 30 temporary Bars with different themes to stop at.
Not a Far ride, about 65 miles. But well worth it. If your in the Milwaukee area this time of year, any year, I highly recommend it. After all it is the nations largest music fest. Well over 20 stages. Major headliners play in the Marcus amphitheater at night. The theater holds about 30,000 I would guess.
no weekend riding for this kid. got a bunch of folks dropping in for a weekend of grillin and chillin by the pool

i'll put a piece of canvas over the Fury and use it as a serving table. (did i mention it's Black?) it'll be a fast serving table!
I am going to blindfold my self spin around till i fall and hit my head. which ever way the blood is spurting is the way i going. allowing 50 to get there and 50 there and 50 to get back
I’ll be up for a ride on Saturday. I’ll check to see if any of the guys in this area are free.
no specific site planned but I will surely be on her :)
What kind of seat do you have? Can you come towards Dayton, or is that to far? Maybe ryguy can come too.
My ass is already used to the seat, it's a couch compared to my CBR. Its the red flame honda one. I have rode to Dayton last season so it isn't a biggie.
Sounds like NMUCat is out of town. MyFuryRide sounds like he’s available and I will check with Stonewheel and see what his story is. Maybe we can come your way a bit, although MyFuryRids would be coming from Indy.
