I took my Fury out for a ride to check the mileage. I rode 129 miles and filled it up with 2.78 gallons of gas. By my calculations that is 46.4 mpg. That is a lot better then I thought it would get.

i dont think im getting anywhere near that good of mileage. My riding mainly consists of city riding. Lots of throttle and lots of shifting. Honestly, i didnt buy the Fury for great fuel mileage, i bought it for looks. Mileage should get better for all once the engine settles in after a couple thousand miles on the speedo.

^^ What he said.

Back in 1998, I bought a new Dodge Ram 1-ton Quad-Cab Dually pickup, decked out, V-10 gas engine, that thing was Nice (with a capital N!) Sitting at a stoplight one day, the knucklehead in a minivan next to me asked me what kind of mileage i got with the V-10 engine. I just kinda laughed to myself and told him if I wanted good mileage I'd be driving a VW.

I thought with the smaller tank that I would be sacrificing miles traveled between fuel stops but was pleasantly surprised to find out that this bike gets much better milage than my VTX 1800 @ 33 mpg. My Fury gets 46-48 when I'm under 70 mph and 50+ when riding through scenic highways around 40-50 mph. It got 38 mpg one day when I was riding with a group at 80-90 mph with the ocassioanl 100 mph thrown in. :)

I will give it the full test later this summer when I ride out west since I can make it over 120 miles before low fuel light comes on, if I try.

lol I hate when people ask what kind of mileage I get in my truck <07 Dodge Ram Mega Cab with Hemi and a 4 1/2 lift and 35" tires>, does it really look like I'm in the saving fuel club? lol, I think I get like 12-15 miles a gallon by the way lol, but then again I only have 19,000 miles on it, guess being deployed helps. I think stock my bike is only getting like 115 miles before the reserve light comes on, which is 33mpg, but then again that's only with 800 miles on it, figured it was like a car/truck and would get better once it broke in some.

Topped off the tank today .. as the price of fuel is down to $2.85! 72.2 miles and 1.8 gallons ... 40.1 MPG. I guess that is to be expected seeing as how there are so many traffic lights here on the island. Im loving the rides so much i could really care less. God help me when i get an intake and ( hopefully this week ) an exhaust.
