Like the risers.... Still not crazy about the pipes....
I think if he added a better air injector than the stock one, think it would deepen the sound on throttle? Don't know, like the sound of it when idling though... could be the sound clip itself breaks up a little bit. Don't know, maybe having somebody throttle it while he stands back so the dB doesn't affect the mic, might be a better indication of how they sound. Love the look of those pipes tho!

How did you get em out? Mine seemed like it would be more work than it's wrth. Did you notice much of a sound difference? Also are you using a programmer and if so did you have to change your settings?
Super sharp bike btw! I like where you put your plate.

Thanks!

Sounds pretty good with them baffles removed. I had them out of mine but was told it would burn my pistons and valves any truth to this. I would prefer them to be out but dont want to screw my bike up.
Well Im sure theres some truth to that If it running to lean .I have a programer comeing to solve that and will only be putting a 100 or so miles on it before it arrives and installed. I have a 03 shadow 1100 with straight pipes and carb regetted 3 years now and no problems.

For what it's worth i installed the fi2000r with mine and the bike stinks of fuel. The programmer is set at the recommended default. Also i went through a tank of gas in about 24hours.
I'm going to fill up again today and see how many miles i get before the next fill up.

Did you take the bike in to have it dynoed or did you find a map out there for your set up? I am looking to run a very similar setup and think I could use the same map if it is out there or if you would like to share.

Have not seen a custom map , guess nobody willing to share . The cost of dyno tune I got was $350. So I have decided to get the PCV auto tune . On order . Also going to install two o2 sensers . Build a map for front cylinder , download to laptop , Switch sensers and then build a map for rear cylinder , download it . Hook laptop to PCV and program . The PCV will let you combine the two maps . If needed you just repeat again . PS .Once the PCV is programed like this the auto tune is disabled . But you can always enable it and auto tune anytime. And Yes I will be willing to offer the programed map's for anyone interested .

Do the cobras have a place for the o2 sensor to be installed? I see that Samson says that they have a place to install one but I don't see that stated for the cobras.
No they dont . I will have to pull the pipes off and install the o2 senser bunge on each pipe . Not that big of deal LOL . At least when all done should be a breeze to tune . If you cant weld yourself any muffler shop will do it for you .

I pulled my today and it sounds much better. Cloths hangers my a$$. I didn’t try the wd40 but it took a lot more than a little wire. The top pipe was in there really tight but the bottom came out without any problem. I think I read that someone posted that the top came out easy and the bottom was a pain in the a$$. You must have gotten lucky and both of yours were just ripe for picken:D
