That was what we said about the old detroit diesel 71 series when i first started to pull a wrench back in the day lol

Nice i have no clue what the diesel 71 series is, but it sounds cool! I am not sure if that means your really old balls or if that just makes me Really Young balls?

LOL you just really young balls LMAO it's the old two stroke detroit diesel found in almost all trucks back in the 60s and 70s, guess i am old dawg.

Dont feel bad, I am 30 and I know all about the 71. I had one in a power unit in some oil field equipment about 6 years ago. It doesnt have the HP numbers the newer stuff does but it was a beast and I know one when I hear it.

I still remember the day we lugged the motor down to the point where it almost died then let off the hydraulics and the motor started running backwards. That was a WTF!?!!?!?!?!!! moment for sure.

i have overhauled more 471 671 871 than most guys have seen.i think they were the best line of diesels built.
