I have been searching the last couple of hours and just can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I'm already going to purchase the L & M adapter <black semi-gloss preferably> so I need to find a black semi-gloss spike to go with it, have searched the net and eBay and don't know if I'm not using the right search words or not but can't seem to find one for a decent price or one I'm sure will work, would like to spend between 120-200 for one. The other thing I'm looking to buy is the Cobra FI2000R fuel controller and I have seen them on eBay for 199 but was wanting to make sure that I got the right one and from a reputable company and has a warranty as it will be purchased before I'm even at home. I'm deployed to Iraq until sometime in July and wanting to buy these items right now so that when I get home I'll have these items along with the items I have already purchase to install all at once. Please post links if you can point me in the right direction. The internet sucks here and I can't make calls like I could in the U.S. so any help you could provide is greatly appreciated.

Hey bud,,I have the FI2000,, i got it straight from cobra,,few dollars more,,has a 1 yr warrenty on it,,had the dealer set it up and tune the bike once i had the pipes put on at purchase,,works fine and im not big on things that deal with performance as far as buying from ebay,,something cosmetic yeah,,but when it comes to quality performance,,me personally as long as my bike has a manufacturer warrenty,, ill let the dealer do performance upgrades. JMHO,,,but Its a good thing to have.

yeah I looked at Cobra's site yesterday and didn't see what the warranty was on the FC, figured it was like 90 days, for some reason you have to set up an account to see that on there site, so I emailed them and was waiting on a response. So it has a one year warranty from them huh, probably best to get that from them and it is like 35 dollars more from them, wonder if they'll price match, thanks for the good reason to buy directly from them.

A lot of the dealers are price matching if you take in the print outs, or several. From L&M, any three bolt pattern will hook up fine. If I can help with phone calls, just PM me.

I found a FI2000R on ebay, I should get the same warranty from Cobra as if I bought from them, wouldn't I? I would think as long as I register it on Cobra's website like I would if I bought it from them that I would get the same warranty. here's the link for ebay:

And of course I know where to get the L & M adapter, but I wanted to find a black semi-gloss spike to go with the semi-gloss adapter as I have the black Fury and wanted those items black since there is plastic chrome covers right there, don't want to much chrome, don't want to spend a whole day cleaning the bike if you know what I mean. I appreciate the offer to make some calls, hopefully I won't have to take you up on that, I would ask the wife but of course she knows nothing about any of this.

I got my Cobra FI2000R from the dealer for $204 AFTER TAX. As Mental said
Dealers are price matching. If your in another country (I think you said your in Iraq)
You could call or email you local dealer in your home area.
I think this is cheaper then ebay. No shipping costs. Also No warranty questions.
You can also tell the dealer where you got the price online and he can go to site himself and see.
My dealer even matched an ebay price for my barons big air kit.

u could pretty much get everything from L & M, they also have the Dobeck FCU for like 245 i think which is pretty much the same as the cobra one, and u can get the spike air cleaner from them too in black but it will cost a little more than 300 bucks i think they will do it for $50 bucks more. I found the black ones on E-bay but they were located in Hong Kong. gonna PM u

I appreciate everyone's help with this. I put in a bid that ends in 15 hours on a black semi-gloss spike, it is 125 plus 15 for S&H, so guess I'll find out if I won that bid later. I'm going to order the L & M adapter in semi-gloss black after I post this message. Now I need to decide if I'm going to get that FI2000R on eBay for 195 or just buy directly from Cobra, I do have an authorized dealer back home so I am going to see if they will price match eBay and that way I will have someone local to go to if there are any issues with the FC. Feel free to post any opinions on this as I am always open to new idea's, thanks.

In case you're wondering what's going on I have placed the order for the black semi-gloss L&M adapter, still got the bid in on the black semi-gloss spike, will find out if I won that bid at 8pm my time, noon eastern time and I have called a local bike shop to see if they will price match the eBay add for the FI2000R, said to bring the ad in but explained I was deployed so I emailed them the link so now I'm waiting to hear back from them, if they don't do it then I'll call another fairly local shop and see if they'll do it, again thanks for any help that you provided, that's why I like reading and hanging out here when I got a chance to talk to others and see what others are doing, great community!

Just wanted to post to let everyone that helped point me in the right direction what was going on. Well the local store that I tried to get to price match said they didn't price match with eBay so I emailed them back to say sorry to hear that as I would rather spend my money locally but I had to go with the better deal and order it on eBay for $195 and free shipping. So I got my L&M adapter ordered and got my FC ordered now just waiting for the auction to end on the Spike which ends in 5 hours <I'll be in bed> so when I wake up tomorrow if I won that then I'll pay for that. Again thanks to everyone for the help or offer to help! And on 1 June I should be ordering my Inferno's after that I'm done, at least for a while lol.

That's where I got mine off of Ebay from Vertex auto. Sent it fast. Like all good things came in a plain white wrapper.

Lmfao well I know nothing about stuff arriving in plain white paper <cough cough>. I just hate that they didn't have a buy now button instead of having to wait for the auction to be over with, oh well, guess for the price a person can't complain to much, I could have bought it already if I would have been quicker and knew what my eBay username and password was as soon as I did the search it came up with one with 10 minutes left, but having a slow internet connection didn't help me get my username and password in time. No one else has bid on it anyways so I'm sure I'll win it's just a matter of waiting. The other two items I bought have already shipped so they should get to the house within a week.

Just got an update from Vertex, they finally replied to my email that I sent a couple of days ago. below is what they had to say on why the black semi-gloss spike hasn't shipped yet:

We are very sorry but we have had some problems with the Black Powder coated Spikes. Our powder coaters have moved to a new location and have been slow to deliver the completed Spikes to us. it doesn't affect me to much since I'm out of country, but for those of you who might have got there's on eBay also I wanted to pass along this information.
