Very cool Guy...As requested, I've uploaded some pics of the new Thunder Mountain bike. They are in an album on my page. Let me know what you guys think. I'm looking forward to some nice weather so I can get some pics of me riding it.
Thanks sea dawg. I put 3" forward control extenders on it and it's like a whole new bike now. Just ordered a gel seat pretty cheap from ebay... It fits my height perfect now. I miss the high beam from the fury tho. I might have to do an H.I.D. conversion soon.Very cool Guy......Told ya we still like you.....

Actually, when I got it, it was pretty cramped to ride compared to the fury. Bar reach was about the same but the pegs were too close. The 3" extenders helped a lot and put them out about 1.5" further than the fury was. (the fury pegs were a little too close for me too) Now it's just about perfect. The seat is harder than the fury and seems to put pressure on my tailbone. (This bike was designed for a shorter rider tho so it's to be expected) I just got a gel seat from ebay pretty cheap that should fix that problem too. The belt drive isn't quite as smooth as the shaft on the fury but that's ok with me because the shaft drive was one of the things I really DIDN'T like about the fury. It has a LOT more power than the fury so it takes a little more concentration to stay at the posted speed limit.Looks pretty good. Paint job isn't to shabby. I am still searching for ideas for my blue. How confortable is it to ride? Looks like you have reach forward quite a bit.
both fenders are steelWhat kind of fender is on that bike?
If you take rider skill out of the equation, the thunder mountain will win every time. The rev limiter doesn't kick in as early, gearing is pretty similar, weight is close to the same, and it has 23 more HP than the fury. This thing snaps to 90 mph in a hurry! I wouldn't have any problem betting a few bucks against anyone on a fury at the strip. But, I bought it because I don't want to ride fast anymore so that'll probably never happen. Will it outrun the fury in the 8th

I'm just not going to pay money to find out on the drag strip.
