QUOTE=Steveo;20721]:DProbably not. Heck, these are cheaper than the Cobra swepts.
I never had me no custom pipes!

Sweeeet! Look at that wild ride. So how much was the last exhaust system you purchased? I agree that the Cobras are a lot of money, but from what I've seen, they are not far from any other other descent pipes. Maybe I haven't shopped around enough.

I feel your pain brother as I waiting myself and weighing out all options before I make a decision for an exhaust purchase. I know what I want but haven't seen anything like it yet. I'm not sure why its so difficult to make and offer and exhaust system that fits the style of this bike. The cobra swept are the closest designs that matches the style and lines of the bike but are just to dam long and would they have been served as the perfect design for the Fury had there design been 12 to 18 inch shorter. I'm waiting to see what Vans & Hines or others come out with over the winter. I am getting a little anxious as spring will be here before you know it and I can't go another season waiting for what I believe to be the right choice for this bike. I thought for sure I would have seen what I want as my choice by now but every design I've seen seems carry the exhaust sytem from asshole to elbow on their design or some big fuggle canister piece off crap. This isn't so difficult is it just give us a simple design that doesn't burn the shit out of your leg and actually looks like it belongs on the bike. A short simple stylish exhaust system with couple of designed turns that ends early and doesn't look like your hauling a junkyard of pipe down the street. Hello Hello is any one out there!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree the original Cobras are too long. If they would've made them even a little shorter, they would look better. I have them on my bike and I doubt that I will ever change them. I am also curious to see what V&H will come up with.

That's actually some pipes a buddy of mine made that was in the pipe-making business for a while. He did nice work. He gave me a good price that's like half of those cobra's.

You are probably right. I'm not used to dealing with big production companies and the prices they charge.

Since I had the price of the Cobra exhaust figured into my bike payments, it made my decision to purchase them easier. If I had to, I may have even paid more to get rid of those ugly ass stock pipes that Honda put on the bike. I really didn't do a lot of shopping around. I just wanted to get almost anything that looked better and sounded better. The price is too high, but in my opinion, so is the price of the Fury along with all motorcycles, trucks, cars, televisions..... It's all a marked up rip off. We all wanna' make a buck.

I did the same thing with my last bike -- rode out w/Cobras already on. Stock pipes generally suck.

cobra has them up on there site as well CobraUSA | Honda, VTX1300CX Fury
Man those speedster slashdowns look *so* much better than the original swepts, because of the shorter length; always thought the bike looked best with shorter pipes, but until fuggin's viper's all anyone was making was the long-assed trailing pipes which were always more of a cruiser style than chopper, I thought. the original swept pipes themselves, without the heatshields, were a good length, roughly like the slashdowns are now coming out about back of the wheel hub. If I hadn't popped $700 some into the swepts already I would *definitely* be looking at a set of the slashdowns - be hard to decide between those and viper's, I think.

now cobra is making them black

CobraUSA | Honda, VTX1300CX Fury
They be making them black but there no shorter and still to dam long. I wish cobra would make another shorter version to the swept design they have now. The cobra swepts are a perfect design for this bike if they had a shorter version of their present design. I hope another manufacturer picks up on this flaw and decides to make a similar exhaust style in shorter version. Truly believe it would be a for sure a home run and the biggest selling exhaust choice for this bike. I just might have to have a custom exhaust system made for the way I want it because it appears that the manufacturers do not see what I see. Just my opinion. Dave
