Just brought home my new Fury (red) yesterday. And am very excited. Test rode a interstate also, but felt like the extra weight was sluggish esp when braking. Plus the fury just looks awesome. Have had a picture of one in my work vest pocket for about a year now. Fin dropped the ball when the wife gave the thumbs up.

Ill post a picture a lil later on. Have not made mods, want to break her in first before. I do however want a shield. After riding the interstate, It was the only thing i missed when i got back on the fury. I have to be honest, the honda shields, just look way to small to really deflect any highway winds, correct me if i am wrong. I found a shield online and want to know what you think. It act displays it on a fury also.

shield

Thanks for any feedback.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the bike! I don't have a shield but as Texas Fury said a lot of people use Memphis Shades, good luck.

Congrats on the new Ride!!! I wish I could tell ya about the shield you have displayed but I can tell you that the Honda boulevard screen is nothing more than that... only good at low speeds... sped your money where the screen will do some real work for you... jmo

One word of advice before you post any pictures of your bike, make sure you remove those reflectors or the Forum Reflector Police are going to get you lol.

side note.. how do i remove those reflectors the easy way... im pretty handy so i just need some simple tips and tools or ideas....i just bought the red one tuesday and love it. i have to agree it needs a shield on long rides as i just did a 6 hour cruise home without one and the wind killed me..if it wasn't for a face mask thing that a fellow harley rider gave me id be still riding!!.. Im new to the hole half helmet thing as ive always rode sport bikes with full face. so take it easy on me for not knowing what the face mask thing is called!!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaa! New meat! Congratulations!

I'll let you in on a little secret, which you must swear, on pain of death, not to reveal: due to a design defect on this particular color option (they forgot to install the V-chip), the red ones are considerably faster than any of the other colors.

Be careful startin' out, and try not to grin too much; it makes other drivers wonder!

Cheers

Im tossing out the Bullsh*t flag on this play! Anyone whos anyone knows that Brillant Blue is the fastest. Red only seems fast cause it moves faster then black, and black is faster then silver.:D

As for removing the reflectors .. we really need to make this a sticky. If you search, your gonna get 100s of posts. Easy way, use fishing line or a quality dental floss. The floss will snap after a few passes. Wind both ends around each pointer finger and "saw" them off from behind. Any residual tape and glue can be removed with a finger nail and GooGone. Take your time, and you wont hurt your paint.
