Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and planning on buying a Fury in the next couple of months. I'm not new to riding but I haven't been on a bike in about 10 years but from sitting on a Fury at the bike show and just looking at the bike I know this is what I want. Not sure if I'll be getting new or used (not many used ones out there) and was just wondering if anyone could give me a few ins and outs on this bike or what to look for or haggle over.

Basically if you had to do it over again or was going with someone to buy a Fury what would you look for or have them do? And what am I getting into as far as handling, mechanical problems etc?

Any help would be great, thanks everyone.

I had ridden for 15 yrs then took break to finish raising kids, after 20yrs being sidelined I wanted to start riding again. Spotted Fury online and purchased 1st on floor at local dealer 5/8/09.My advice, shop for best price, if possible find dealer/shop who will help with difficult mods. Only handling trait that I had to adjust to was slow turns in parking lots or narrow streets, nothing difficult to learn. Only mech isssue was the cold engine stall with stock pipes and air filter, new pipes/filter with fuel programmer solves that. I am very happy with my Fury and would reccomend one to any rider.

Wish you well on your search,,,I believe if you scroll down the forum topics on the main menu someone is selling there fury! was a main post. I instructed a motorcycle safety course for about 6 years,,biggest piece of advice is to gradually progress back into it. Find some area with less traffic and take advantage of some open highway riding to get a feel for the bike,,the fury to me is a great handling bike,,I have had no issues with turning , even with a passenger. ( Clutch and throttle control) , our local college has a motorcycle safety course, is like 3 days for 100 bucks,,see if you can get in one to go over the basics to refresh anything . Welcome to the forum,,great info here, I have some pics of mine on my profile, feel free to browse.

I discovered the FUry at the bike show as well. I was getting ready to drop $20,000 on a Rocker C until I found this beauty for half the money.
I called and/or visited every shop in the Chi-town area looking for a blue one (at the moment there are only 3 in stock in Chicago land) and finally ended up buying mine in Pontiac, IL. It is south on 55. (PM me for the details of the dealer and what I paid) They are a small dealer with a small inventory but. they seemed to be them most honest.
I e-maild every shop through the Honda websight. It took forever for most of them to respond and only a few would provide much info.

Do not go to DGY - that was the first place I went because they told me they had every color in stock. Once I drove the two hours up there I learned that they only had a black bike in stock and that the price that was quoted to me was no longer any good because it was suposedly for a demo.
