Hi folks, introduction!

First started riding 1977.

Bike History

Kawasaki Z650
Honda VF750C Magna
Suzuki VS800 Intruder
Yamaha VMax (full power import)
Honda VT1300CX Fury from 01/03/2010.

Spent most of my life in Scotland (Edinburgh), but have lived in Saudi, Malaysia, and Singapore at various times.

Hobbies : Electronics (circuit building), Computer Programming, Motorbikes.

Looking forward to getting my Honda Fury on 1st March (new 2010 UK plates). Bike was officially launched in UK on 12th Feb 2010. Purchased first Fury in UK and so far the only owner in Scotland, but I'm sure that will change. Only colours available in UK are Metallic Blue and Gloss Black, no ABS models yet. Bike comes with 2 year warranty but 6 month interval servicing . Once run in intend to change pipes (Mayhem possibly) and air box. Also plan to add decals on tank and fenders.

Weather here in Scotland is [email protected] at the moment, has been since start of December but should get better by 1st March, fingers crossed.

In the UK... Fury comes in Wave Blue and Black.. no ABS models yet. Cost £12K thats about $18... mostly cause the Pound is doing [email protected] at the moment and our government sucks us dry here.... fuel is £1.08 a litre thats about 3.7litres to your US Gallons ... ?!?! making it roughly $6.5 per US Gallon... ouch.. I heard you even from here... on the other hand pay here is slightly higher to compensate but I still think you guys have a better deal.

My truck gets 15 miles to the gallon. My Fury gets 40 miles to the gallon. As long as I can ride my bike, I don't care what the fuel costs.;)
Yea, that's the way I look at it too... gonna hate that week it's gone for the paint job... :(

Steveo.....I understand and agree.....I'm just curious as to the fuel prices in different countries.....I could look online and get a breakdown of prices...but I'd rather get the lowdown from our members on the list....more personal and has more meaning to me.;)

The bike, to me, is a luxury and I'm not trying to breakout or justify cost for using it....I like the bike, and I like to ride.

I'm getting the Wave Blue....
I'm from Scotland and tried the Wave Blue at the launch weekend. Really enjoyed the hour-long test ride.

Asking the bikers around the place, everyone liked it but they were going to wait until the price tumbles later in the year.

I would love to get one asap but it's too pricey, although I was offered a £500 discount without even asking for it.

I'll let you know when I get mine...

How much are they charging for it over there? Don't know... maybe when they bring out the 2011 model, the price will come down... but they haven't gone down much here without some serious searching or a really nice dealership...
