I bought a tail light assembly from a guy in CA for another bike I had and he put led red lights in the middle and amber turn signal leds on the outside. How many people would be interested in replacing their stock tail light / turn signal assemblies with a new cool one and open up the rear to show off the tire. A simple side mount for the tag is not a problem to identify, even if you want to have clear leds for it.

Without knowing how many leds are in the assembly allready, it would go something like this;

(amber amber red red red red red amber amber)

With enough interest, he will do the r&d himself by buying a stock rear light set up.

I have been searching for a new setup for the rear lighting. I drew up a little doodle a few days back in case I could find a lighting guru who could fab something up for me.

I would be interest in one. I have tryed this mod last week and found it was a sealed unit. what kind of cost we looking at?

I would be in for one depending on price. I wonder if clear alternatives is going to come out with one? I always used them for my sport bikes.

I had something similar on my R1. Really cleans up the rearend! I would be intrested but I haven't received my bike yet and I am sure that this mod if is not already in the works by the aftermarket it shortly will!

Got a call from the light guy today. He contacted his supplier for parts and what not, and aparently there are some others allready working on this project, so he is going to back away due to not enough business for everyone. So if we hang tight, there will be a cool option avialable for us soon, he just did not know from whom.

How do you get rid of the rear mounting brackets?

If you reomove the rear turn signals for this, how do you get rid of the holders rear mounting brackets? Do you just have those holes there where they used to be? If you remove the plastic (which I will do as soon as a side license plate is available) wil you always have those metal brackets hanging down where the turn signals were or can you remove them?

I bet all the mounting brackets can be cut away. I e-mailed Clear Alternatives. Waiting for a reply.

All about moving the plate bracket away from the tire, I also would like a integrated rear lamp--anyone have pics or suppliers?

Count me in. I am definitely interested!! I would love nothing more than to remove the license plate assembly!!

Accutronix has my bike back in the shop working on an LED strip with running/turn/brake lights integrated. They also received a batch of their Billet Side Mounts to run either a vertical or horizontal plate. It looks really sick and I can't wait until it's complete! They will be avaliable in Chrome or annodized black

THanks for the update!!! Ordered one of the sidemount plates at the beginning of the month, can't wait to receive it. I will be waiting to get a tail light to put it all on though. Hopefully they are not to far out on a product!!!
