Which oil filter does the Fury use? Is it the same as any of the VTX1300 models?

I use a PH6017A fram, same one my blackbird and several others use, saves me a trip the the dealer and it's a slightly larger filter. Advance auto has them all day long.

I've only used honda filters for anything I've owned. be it my cars or my bikes. After I saw the cut aways of the OEM's vs. everything else I never looked back.

i have a friend that works in a honda shop in richmond va.he said the 6017-a fram will cause low oil pressure at idle.i only use honda filters on my fury.

Ask him what the pressure difference actually is. Sorry hoss, but I don't buy it, the dealers had ya'll on the whole "limited edition" thing too, how did that work out?

never had me on limited edition.i bought the blue fury because i like the bike.i was not talking to a dealer,he is a personal friend,there was a three pound diff.at same milage and rpm.

Same here. Some of the 'trusted name brand' non-OEM filters tried out in the filtering tests that I saw were atrocious. Honda factory every time for me. It's too important for to the service life of the engine.

Don't use a fram....PERIOD. I get them free, and throw them away. WIX, or NAPA Gold (made by WIX) or OEM.

I just thought now is a good time to bring this back up since ridin weather is here. I found the link to be very interesting.

I use the Purolator Pure One, #PL14610 (3.5"); it has more capacity (element surface area) than the OEM stocker. Fram's are junk!
