This is the oil recommended by my Honda Owner's Manual.
Please note that it is 10W-40 SG/SF, not 10W-30 and it is not synthetic.

More info.

This is HP4 Synthetic and is 10W-40 SG/SF and meets the viscosity requirements for higher temperatures (most US summer riding) as does the GN4.
with the summer we're all experiencing I'd say that's the ticket, fershur!

That's high praise indeed and well deserved. Just don't make the mistake of using syn 10W30 when your owners manual recommends 10W40 ;).

The 10w30 could well be a typo since Honda's only shows 10W40 and 20W50 in synthetic on their website .
My mistake. I do use the non syntetic. I've only changed oil once so far and it was with the non synthetic that the manual calls for. I think that the next oil change, I will switch to the syntetic oil by Honda. Thanks for the pic's Gar. You are another one on here that I will praise for having knowledge. Also to anyone on here that changes their own oil, remember that there are two drain plugs. A friend of mine in town that has a Fury changed his oil and as we were talking one day, I brought that to his attention and he only drained one of the two. It's in the manual, but I guess he just didn't read it.

I use HP4S, 10w30 Synthetic from Honda. P/N 08C35-SYN-1030M
HP4S 10W30 (QUART)

the pic you have up there is a 10w40 BLEND and it contains MOLY, do not use that in your Fury.
I do not have my owners manual available but the Service Manual page 4-2 states Viscocity : SAE 10W-30.

Honda recommends 10W-30 for all their bikes after 2006.

Although I have a little bit before I need to change my oil, and I know there is much debate on the oil and filter, but can the best oil and filter be gotten from a local parts store like NAPA or Wal Mart? I had my service done at 600 and if I remember right the next one is due at 4k right? I'm just curious right now, but I do have my owners manual and repair manual at home and not in front of me.

the 10W-30 is the only full synthetic that Honda markets

from the oil catalog in that link :

Pro Honda HP4S
New Pro Honda HP4S is Honda’s first fully synthetic 4-stroke motorcycle
oil and was quite literally years in the making. HP4S is compatible
with synthetic blends such as HP4, as well as regular petroleum
oils like GN4. There is no need to flush the crankcases before
switching to HP4S.
HP4S offers lower friction than conventional oils, better oxidation
resistance for better high heat performance, higher film strength
and quicker flow to vital engine parts at low temperatures, especially
during start up. And best of all, HP4S provides maximum power
due to less frictional drag. HP4S is recommended for use in all 2006
or newer motorcycles, ATVs, Scooters and PWC. It is quite simply
put… our very finest four-stroke oil.

I run Shell mineral motorcycle oil 15 W 40 in my other bikes and change the oil every 3000 KLM (1864 M). I thought the GN4 Honda oil was semi synthetic. Clueless can you confirm? Here in Sydney I am more concerned about the maximum temp as it never gets to 0 deg C (32 F) here on the coast, so far the coldest morning has been 3 deg C (37.4 F) this winter and that was a 60 year record low.

An old mechanic gave me some advice to change the oil twice as often as the manufacture recommends. He said it extends the engine life by a factor of 4. I have followed his advice on every vehicle I have ever owned and the engines always lasted way longer than expected.

GN4 is not synthetic, HP4 is a blend and the HP4S is synthetic
go to the link Gar posted, click on the download catalog, they have a description of them there.

Now I know I'm over the hill  !!! The double meaning completely escaped me until you confessed
.
Well, sounds like you need to twist the wick a little more frequently then, in order to make sure that it doesn't rust and fall off... ;)
