I was getting some gas when this old biker lady came up to look at the Fury. She walked around the bike five times repeating " damn that a nice bike" and "my old man would love this bike". Then a c50 pulled up to the next and she leaned over and said " sure the hell is a lot nicer than that damn rice burner". The whole time I was just saying yep to all her comments. Then she took one last walk around and asked " where did you have to go to get it?" and I said Greenville (next town over, 20min away). She said " damn I did not know you could get a bike like that around here. Next question really got me, she said "so, who is the builder" that's when I cracked the biggest smile and said very proudly HONDA. She was speechless. I said not bad for a rice burner, Ha!

Thats awesome.

Last weekend my dad and I were out riding (he has an HD Electraglide) and this guy pulls up next to me a couple of lanes over. We give eachother the nod, then he asks... "Who built it!"
Me: Its a Honda!
Him: WHAT?!
Me: Its a Honda Fury!
Him: laughing with a big smile...So thats it huh?
Him: Man, Thats AWESOME!
Me: Thanks!
Him: These Jap bikes have really come a long way!

He was riding a custom Yamaha.

Needless to say, it made my day.:D

funny the comments..

I was riding between lights on PCH Pacific Coast Highway and a dude in a Honda Element kept asking about the bike.
He thought is was a HD, and finally at the 2nd light we hit I told him it was Honda and said "Get out here, that's not Honda is it?"

Funny Story

Man I got so many funny stories but the most recent one has to be me riding with some friends who mostly have Harley's - we pull up to a biker pub on route 22 in Purdy's, N.Y.
I am rolling with four friends - two of them have the V-rod, one is the muscle version. The other two have either the glide crap or something like that - both had white wall tires. Anyway, we come out after eating and several dudes from their own clique are checkin' out my bike which is parked between all my friends Harley's. One says "Nice Victory." I'm like .... thanks but it's a Honda. They were all shocked and could'nt believe it.
My friends though were even more pissed because my bike gets so much more attention than their rides and they know what I paid. They just shake their heads as people talk to me in front of them - really pisses em' off.

Honda crap...

I pulled into work two weeks ago on my Fury, and one of my co-workers said to me 'Glad to see that you got rid of the Honda crap (VTX1800C 240/40 etc...)'.. and then asks 'So how much of your bike did you build?'

I told him none of it... it's a HONDA!

The other day I was getting gas and a dude pulled in on a Big Dog and wouldn’t look at it. I could tell he was trying to look out of the corner of his eye without me catching him. I felt really proud until I had to hop on it and pull away with those stock pipes.:(
Hey Richard I had the same problem so many times I ended up dilling out the baffle, started with a 3/8 bit it was a little better but still not what I wanted. So 2 nights ago me and a friend found the biggest bit I had 61/64 it took a little of the ring on the baffle and the whole end cap of the baffle off.
I can't tell you what a change it made! Its sounds soooo much better. Still would like some aftermarket pipes but now I can wait for more options to come out.

Just something for you to think about.

I go to a cruise night in Phillipsburg at Joes steak shop. I have a 76 vette and a 83 T/A I take there. So after I got the Fury, I took it one time. I backed the bike in, in front of the steak shop, and this huge guy on a Roadking comes over to me and says, nice scoot......... who built it? I tell him it's a Honda Fury. He all but puts his nose in the and snaps his head and walks away.........not even a word! Then he sits over by his bike, both hands on his knees shakin' his head. Typical.
