OK, will shortly have enough money for only one mod......gotta prioritize.....interested in ya'lls opinions since the money builds up slowly.....

Would you opt for an air intake for better performance (I have the fuggin reapers and controller, but stock air); or

The C&C seat for more comfort? They cost about the same.....

What do you think?

while I own neither item... from what i've read, I would get the seat before an air intake. seems like butt comfort would be more important than a couple HP to me...

If you ride and don’t have any problem with seat, then I would go intake. On the other hand, if the seat is a pain in the A$$ to you, and prevents you from riding as much, the seat should be a priority.

Performance wise, I don't think a breather really does shit, but what do I know? I'm not one of the experts on here. However, it is my opinion that you will get much more performance out of a more comfortable seat. What good is a pretty bike when it hurts your ass to ride it?

SEAT!!!!!

You probably won’t notice any performance gain from the intake. I have ridden enough Fury’s over the last year with various combinations and honestly, I can’t tell a difference. Most people probably do it for looks anyway. JMHO!

I would say the same thing and if your not having any back or asa issues go for the intake. You not going to miss any added comfort with the seat if you don't know the difference.

It's not JYHO, It's also JMHO. :D

I wasn't expecting performance gain from my intake. I did it strictly for looks, but I got the seat first, because comfort is more important than looks. The bike looks good as it is anyway. Be comfortable now and then you can make the bike look prettier later. ;)

This would be easy for me, but I actually like the look of the stock seat and haven't had any problems with the comfort of it...so I would definately do the intake. Not only does it enhance performance...it looks killer!

I would say if you do a lot of riding and the seat hurts your butt, get a seat, if you can ride the bike and your butt doesn't hurt then get the intake.

Wouldn't an intake help with the miles before light though? Any of you reaper guys have an aftermarket intake? If so, did you get better mileage?

BTW, I appreciate all of the input, keep it coming!

Again, not a mechanic, so this may sound stupid, but if you add more air, then you have to add more fuel, correct? So how can you get better mileage if this is true? When I added more air, my bike ran lean and I had to adjust the fc to add more fuel.

But if I'm running rich right now, more air would equate to more miles, right? Is it easier to add the intake vs. adjust the controller?

I'm looking at the teardrop from S&S, and they claim more hp.

Seems as though the majority are leaning toward seat.....?????

a cheaper alternative would be getting seat refoamed and gelled, might be cheaper than c&c, then you could get the intake sooner
