I never really liked the chrome side covers that much. Thought they kinda took away from the motor, so I sprayed them to match the bike. Think it "frames" the motor better.

So now everyone can see it before they take a chance with theirs...

I suggested that months ago, but I think you are the first to try it. I think it is a 100% improvement in the looks of the bike. I feel it makes the bike look more like a custom bike & less like a production bike. Congratulations!

Side covers

Didn't know anyone else did this. Had mind done at a local body shop I use. They look MUCH better matching the gloss black of the bike..... (I have the black too). I may also do the center cover on the motor head, leaving the sides chrome. Going to have the wheels done in gun metal grey powdercoat too.

I was thinking about doing this to my LE but i couldn't decide on gloss black to match the frame or matte to match the "tins".

Great job, looks less cheap IMO!

Well ain't that a coinkydink
On Predator’s Fury I’d be tempted to color match (matte silver) the side covers to the body work to make the V-Twin POP even more  and maybe even go with flat black on the intake cone to compliment the awesome viper 2!

:( The angle and lighting doesn't maximize the effect. I does look better as I move around the bike in my mind's eye.

YES!! Somewhere here I have a photoshop of just that -- looks good. I think I ended up liking it with just the spokes done. Besides, the powder can get messed up during tire changes.

Wow! Thanks for all the feedback guys. Didn't think something that small would attract this much attention.

I'm def happy with the result, looks way better IMO. It's always amazing to see the impact of small changes on a bike.
